If we had the "power" you so speak of. We would be in a whole different conversation today!!!! We would use those powers and would have the top everything, coaches, teachers,athletes, students. There would be no one at any other schools! But,,,,,,unfortunate those powers don't exist here:(

Obviously this place didn't have any impact on the coaching hire, so why would you think it would have any impact on recruiting and player morale?
Here's a better take. Are you trying to gin up an excuse for O in case he fails in recruiting and/or having players focused and ready for games?

No, not at all. I am simply saying the decision has been made, bashing him or it only hurts the team now. If it turns out to be going in the wrong direction on the field, then speak up at that time. In other words, give him the best chance possible.

I'm trying to think of how you would think the thought process would go for a recruit. Something like this:
"I love LSU. The school is great, the atmosphere during my official visit was amazing, I have a great relationship with the coaches, I think I would be a good fit in their system, and they have a history of competing for championships and sending players to the NFL. But . . . some guy on a message board said he doesn't think their coach is any good! I better look at other schools!

Yes, I'm sure the first thing other schools do is mention the Rant when they are trying to get a recruit. I bet old Nicky starts his pitch with TR. Not his 5 NCs, 6 wins over LSU or undefeated seasons.
