It takes time to rebuild.
O is only working with 2 years of HIS recruits.
Canada has 1/2 a year of recruits.
Aranda has 2 years.
Do y'all not realize next season will be exactly
What the coaches want player wise? And the next will be even better??
Be patient. You wanted a new coach. Take the extra baggage that comes with it. In this case that's a few seasons of rebuilding.
Canada and O will be both get two seasons to prove themselves.
I bet by the end of the 2nd nobody on this board will want him gone unless Aranda wants the job.
I'm sure the players and coaches gave it their all and that's all I can ask for.
Mistakes were made. But are humans perfect?
So it's still a geaux tigers every Saturday from now until December for me.
Ready to watch the Tigers put it on Syracuse Saturday and shock the nation with a upset on a big team. I could be wrong and we could really be as bad as expected in a new head coaches 1st year, however I believe our talent will win more games than you expect.

Tldr: it takes time to rebuild with a new coach. Be patient. Our time will come soon.

Edit: what IF Miss St. IS a top 5 team come playoff time??

I honestly don't know if I've seen one quite like it aside from 1/9, and I've been here since '06..

Yes its starting to rival 1/9/12. But we had all off-season to melt.Les was never the same afterwards and neither were us.

bullshite. I believe exactly what Urban Meyer said concerning a coach's first year. Once you take the job, those players are YOUR players. Don't ever blame a loss on you not having "your type of players" yet. That's bullshite and a loser's excuse.

And he had everything that Miles recruited which was no slouch.

They didn't. And they'd tell you that. Not in that last game.

I'm tired of this stupid excuse. This is, what, at least 6 years going now?

If you can't see that there is serious work that needs to be done, in a hurry, I don't know what to tell you.

275 yards in penalties in 3 games. 3 games!

Not saying they aren't his players. He clearly claims Guice and vice versa. They are not the players he would necessarily recruit to fit HIS defensive or offensive schemes.

He seemed to do pretty well with Guice in the bowl game against Louisville. I think he'll take Guice.

The coaching needs major improvement.

With a different coach. It took Miles 2-4 years to get to back to the dominant Saban Days. Then it fell off.
Now we rebuilt again. Sorry you don't want it but it's what needs to be done

BS.

The talent is there. In Miles' first year we went to the Chick Fil A bowl and destroyed Miami.

In O's first year, we lose to Mississippi State in the largest margin in school history.

I'm an optimist but I don't like what I'm seeing so far.

I'm tired of these "be patient" excuses.

Agreed.
But keep in mind how new and different this system is than anything these players have probably ever seen. Not to mention the offense we are trying is penalty prone. It's part of it.
Ed O is awful game management wise. But it's what we have and with our coordinators I think we can win. If he can truly give reign to aranda and Canada.
Edit: including taking their advice on challenges, play calls, timeouts, etc. basically let them head coach through the head set.

They've had 6 months to get used to it.

Who's responsible for correcting penalty infractions? In 3 games, we've racked up 275 penalty yards. That's absurd.

I'm not ready to dump on Canada but I do think he was overhyped. Aranda is proven but he can only do so much.

Lol. Do you remember Miami's SoS and record that year? They were incredibly over rated.

No I don't, nor do I care.

My point is that in Miles' first season we went to a decent bowl game and right now, I'm not sure we'll get to that.

We hadn't lost in Starkville as a ranked team since 1984.

I have bookmarked and promise to come back at the conclusion of next season. And eat spoon if need be. (Hopefully not)
But I want this group that is being so in patient to also bookmark this. Because I really think y'all will be proven wrong and it will be worth the wait.

The worst thing for me was to see how they absolutely fell apart and just could not deal w adversity. Instead of having a fighting instinct as adversity hit, they (everyone except Devin White) wilted under the pressure.

This is just the first game of SEC play and they folded like lawn chairs. Not a good sign at all.

This sounds like an MLB baseball an MLB espn baseball stat: "going, going, GONE!"
"Did you know Bill, Barry Bonds has not homered in a night game with winds blowing to center and a temprature UNDER 85 degrees?"
"Well that sure is impressive Tom"

It's not athletic that's why I've avoided the rant since the game. Probably just peek at it until next week. Can't deal with these fans constantly crying. We will get past this. I'm confident

What? We've beaten them soundly for the last 20 years sans 2 games, this past one included.
