Also Lol @ you for thinking those GED offenses that Auburn & Texas A&M runs are complex.

quote:

"So many times, you're evaluating a quarterback who has never called a play in the huddle, never used a snap count. They hold up a card on the sideline, he kicks his foot and throws the ball," Arians said Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine. "That ain't playing quarterback. There's no leadership involved there. There might be leadership on the bench, but when you get them and they have to use verbiage and they have to spit the verbiage out and change the snap count, they are light years behind."

For the record I don't want those offenses here at LSU which I think you are implying.

More of implying that we need to recruit the prototypical quarterback rather than the dual threat guys to run the system we run

But they have been better on that side of the ball and there is no arguement.

Please explain to me how they are so much better up against top notch competition? Anybody Power 5 conference school can run up big offensive numbers against scrubs but what matters is what you do against the better schools.

So would you qualify bama as competition?

Both Auburn and aTm have put up big numbers vs bama and have wins more recently than LSU has.

I know aTm got shut out last year. But the 2 previous years I believe they had 40 plus

You clearly stated the Tigers offense wasn't & were wrong clearly wrong.

quote:

Just affective

Texas A&M 8-5 overall 3-5 SEC 2-3 vs top 25

Auburn 8-5 overall 4-4 SEC 3-4 vs top 25

Clearly

Since you love pulling up stats, how about pulling up the defensive stats for those schools & their rankings?

Defensively they were terrible. That's why their records are what they are.

LSU offense isn't complicated. It's run run pass and the numbers show that.

Please explain where you are trying to go?

Both 8-5 with 2 of the worst defenses in the conference

Thanks for making my point that the offenses were affective

Great points and counterpoints you guys are making but I thought Cam Cameron wanted quarterbacks with the ability to move in the pocket i.e. Brandon Harris??

Why does everything always have to revolve around Alabama? Why don't you look at those schools records from top 25 competition from a year ago. Anyway, over the time span you just mentioned, no school including Alabama has lost more underclassmen to the NFL Draft than LSU. That has had a ton to do with the last 3 losses to the Tide more than anything.

Wasn't trying to make it about Alabama but they have been the best in college football for a short while and just pointing out those guys have had success vs good competition.
Just last year hang on I'll get the numbers

Lol Both of those offenses were crap against top competition & don't give me Auburn's Iron Bowl against Alabama because the Tide's secondary was not far Auburn & A&M in terms of being awful.

Not sure who all was ranked at the time texas a and m played but they only scored under 28 3times

Alabama LSU and ULM

Again we are only looking at offense I realize they lost some games but it wasn't because they didn't put up points.

Oh my frickin goodness. I guess your comprehension or you clearly had no clue as to what you were looking at in the links I posted. Secondly, you need to open a dictionary & learn the differences between complex, complicated & efficient. In football terms complicated does not equal pass happy. You must be about 15 years old.

Auburn on the other hand only scored less than 31 on 3 occasions

The numbers prove otherwise. Offensively both were good against any competition

But equally as bad defensively

Don't need to be pass happy. Look at auburn or Oregon.

Maybe your right it must be complicated that we can't finish in the top half of the country on offense

I'd rather be affective than complicated. one thing is for sure it hasn't been complicated for opposing defenses as the numbers prove

Cam did say that. But his offense flourished with a guy that wasn't very mobile in Mettenberger and drop back guy. Oh and some guys named Landry and Beckham on the outside and Hill in the backfield.
looked like we finally turned the corner in the bowl game the offense looked pretty good mostly fournette but I'll take it
