Absolutely right. These kids have a love for the game but football also is a career in these guys minds as well. Way to screw them out of missed opportunities to help their draft stock. Regardless if they were viewed as draft material or not.

I think he participated in more games than they usually allow, but it was close.

Damn, that sucks. We needed Gordon. Jeter isn't much of a blocker

I really wanted him back in a bad way but maybe the silver lining is that LSU gets off the Jumbo package three out of four plays!

First of all, the NCAA sucks.

Secondly, I hate it for Dillon. I hope he makes a team, stays healthy, and plays in the NFL for a long time. He's a good kid with a good head on his shoulders, and he gave it all for LSU.

Without Dillon's awesome blocking skills, maybe this will prompt CLM to get the TE more involved in the passing game. Sounds like wishful thinking, but we'll see.

If you have black and white rules regarding this, why does the process take so long. It should be are all of the boxes checked? Yes, then here is your additional year. No, your career is over. Who's next?

On the personal level, I hate it for Dillon. He gets shafted out of showcasing his abilities on either side of the decision. He doesn't get another year to showcase his skills and he's got no pro-day ahead of the draft. They pretty well boned him. I do appreciate his desire to come play another year for the Tigers though.

On a team standpoint, I'm torn. Obviously, the offense needs to change and develop itself a more functional passing game. If Gordon returns, its easy for Les to stubbornly stick with the status quo when you've got Leonard Fournette and essentially an extra offensive lineman in Gordon. But no matter what changes we see, a Miles team (especially with LF) is still going to run a ton so Gordon's experience and blocking abilities would still be useful.

Best of luck to him in the future.

Kind of wonderngt the same thing, i.e., how does this change strategy on O or does it all?

And to Dillon - thanks for all you did for the school I love. If P&G are running through your veins then we must be blood brothers. God bless and best wishes.
