There has always been a hierarchy when it comes to the broadcast team: 1. Football 2. Basketball 3. Baseball. The records don't matter.

I don't.

Basketball is bigger nationally, but not locally.
. Believe it or not, basketball still makes more money even at LSU.

100.7

You didn't miss much. They were really, really bad.

Basketball is still technically considered the primary sport right now (at this point in the season) so that is why Blair is still calling b-ball.

Yeah, that'll be the priority for Blair from now on whenever there's a conflict (football over basketball, basketball over baseball). Last year was an exception since Hawthorne was finishing up with basketball while Blair started with baseball, so neither one had a conflict.

I was at an event that Chris Blair was the guest speaker, and he said he always finishes the sport that he's doing before going on to the next sport. So, yes, there is a hierarchy, but it's based on the schedule, not which sport is bigger.

The broadcast was screaming for a real play by play guy. With Hanny out of the loop and Wright unavailable, like a poster above mentioned, looks like they were short on options...

One play they literally just said "oh man". How the hell am I supposed to know what that means?!?

another time they said "what a play to end the inning"

never mentioned the pitcher, batter, who made the play, position, grounder, fly, nothing.

i had just go in my truck. was the 3rd pitch i heard. i had no clue even which team was doing what.

I understand the logistics of his assignment until basketball is over.

It just seems like a huge missed opportunity for a legendary call for such an historic moment.

Can you imagine Alex Box with a pregame hype video replaying the end of Poche's no-hitter with a Blair call?
