Even if Aranda isn't wanted by the next guy (fat chance; that's what you call a coup) he'll have another high profile job in about 0.3 seconds.

Chavis got screwed on a bit by LSU administration. He saw the writing on the wall from his previous experiences and decided he had a good opportunity to bail and did it. It could have been done a bit classier, but I don't blame him for leaving. The other thing is that he probably saw things that most of us will never fully know, although some hints about Miles's style have been leaking out and none of it good.
