why would we get UF at home this year???

Sankey will order the game to be played on 11/19, but he'll keep it in Gainesville where it was originally scheduled.

Moving it to BR would be seen as punishment for Foley, and Sankey will never do that. If Sankey wanted to exert power over Foley, he would've ordered the game played on Sunday or Monday in the Swamp, or UF forfeits. But since he let Foley off the hook, he won't turn around now and take the game out of Gainesville.

This solution wouldn't be nearly as big of a deal had Florida actually attempted to play the game in good faith.

Also moving the Cocktail Party up a weekend will have less of a financial impact on the SEC as a whole. LSU doesn't deserve to suffer loss because of Florida and the SEC's screw up. Th inconvenience to UGA is much smaller. The Cocktail Party minimizes financial loss by LSU losing a home game, South Alabama being bought out, presbyterian being bought out, and the larger strain of LSU playing the three straight away games ina short time period at that point of the season.

Desmond says that the SEC should say "This game will be played on November, 19. LSU, you will buy out Southern Alabama and you will play in Gainesville on that day, or you forfeit the game."

So we lose a home game, then we fork over the money as well, so we can play UF in Gainsville?

So our willingness to do whatever last weekend is now being seen as "the bad guy"...for putting our foot down on giving up a home game

Do these jerks not realize the impact of home games?

UF had a home game, they could have had LSU fly in and play Sunday...those choose to make excuses

it's that simple...

Now LSU gets the short stick?

I don't think so...

You can take your "it's the way it is" and shove it up your arse.

I am proud of Alleva and LSU's stance, and my continued financial support is dependent upon it.

Where was Desmond when the SEC could have acted properly on playing this game on Sunday or Monday?

If this game is going to be made there is going to have to be compromises and that is the most likely one. The SEC will compensate both Florida and LSU for losing their games against South Alabama and presbyterian and have Florida come to Baton Rouge this year. Then LSU go to Florida 2 years in a row.

I made a thread about this on Saturday. LSU is going to be painted as the bad guy, and we will be forced to play on Nov. 19.

Wait for it.

Would be the ultimate frick you to LSU and the city of Baton Rouge by the SEC.

. Tough, yeah. But if we are good enough to be in the hunt we should beat the hell out of UF, if we aren't in the hunt we can at least say we played anywhere at anytime. And still beat UF.

We'll, "it's the way it is" is reality, at this point. Don't know why you're mad at me for pointing it out.

Like you, I think Foley and Sankey completely screwed us over. No doubt.

But this is where we are. Pissed that it's like this (through no fault of our own), but here we are.

So Sankey will need a solution, and I see the Nov. 19 game in Gainesville as the easiest one, with the SEC buying out USA and Presbyterian.

So LSU loses a home game because of Florida's actions. That is the dumbest shite I have ever heard.

If Florida would have came to LSU last weekend only one home game would have been lost. If you do the Florida make up on the 19th then two home games are lost in the system plus buying out other third parties. This also ignores the fact that LSU attempted to accomodate a game last weekend in Gainesville that could have easily been played.

Actually, the rule reads that no teams may forfeit the game unless they are both present at the site.

Heres the thing, Desmond needs to keep his fricking mouth shut. The SEC and most of its member don't give a shite about his opinion.

The bigger issue is the loss of a home game because of Florida. That is the dumbest thing ever.

That's the only solution that satisfies Florida wanting to play on the 19th and not having to play in Baton Rouge 3 years in a row. On the other side LSU gets their home game on the 19th that LSU wanted. Don't get me wrong I'm on your side on this I just think this is the most likely scenario if Sankey wants to try to save face nationally. It'll just cost more money to the SEC and only LSU fans will be on his arse.

No one, not even Florida's AD has come out and denied that LSU offered everything but the kitchen sink in order to be able to play this game, on sat, sun, or Monday (our house, their house, neutral location). Not one person has stepped up and called Alleva a liar on anything he said in his presser yesterday. frick public perception. The truth is the truth.

True, but those "sheep" keep ESPN on the air and keep Desmond employed.

So he'll keep giving his opinions.
