Guys, there is something to this. Miles is disatisfied or he is being shown the door and is being looking for an out.

We can only hope.

How many years is left on his guarantee? The only way I could see this even being feasible is if the amount per year x the number of years Colorado is willing to guarantee is greater than the number of years left on Mile's guarantee at LSU x the amount he is getting per year here.

Some, but I think their issue is that his heart isn't into it because of his health.

Well, Mark is underachieving, but not sure that's warranted.

BS.... No way that's happening.

Maybe I came on a little strong, but the point I was trying to make is that regardless of how much money you make you just don't uproot your family unless their is a serious upside.

I would dare to say that quality of life and salary are relative. Yes 1.9 million plus a great view is nice, but 3.8 million in a place where your family is settled (given the "family man" Miles is) would be better. Also knowing that the posibility of winning exists at LSU where Colorado will be a hell of a lot more difficult. Not to mention if this gets really bad I will be run out of town with $15million in my pocket and then I can choose to live anywhere I want.

Boulder may be nice but it is not that nice.

Scottie, have you ever been to Colorado?

You are correct; however, I changed it for the stronger effect for the obvious reason you stated next.

I agree with you that Les is going nowhere. This article is nothing but feeding the rabble that is the CU fanbase and the minority LSU rantards clamoring for immediate changes. That being said, if I were in Les' shoes having lived and coached in both places, there would be some time spent considering the opportunity. Much of it would come down to family considerations AND what my coaching career goals are for the remainder of that career.

For me, where I live is very high on my list when I consider a relocation/job change...but that is me. I relocated to CO with NO job in hand. At the time I was much younger and only had one kid. Now, I am considering a job search out there; however, my personal situation has changed so the priorities have shifted slightly. My point in all this is that the considerations for the type decision we are discussing is much more complex and very different for each individual. We may speculate about what Les would do, but none of us really know what that conversation would be like at the Miles home.

I think he meant there would be a very small but very vocal group of Bamatards screaming for Saban's head....and I agree with him. Not saying they would can him, only that they will be every bit as loud as what seems to have infected the Rant.

I've got news for you. The anti-Miles crowd is not in the minority. Get your head out of the sand.

Please, let this happen. I'm looking forward to a day when LSU football is detail oriented, prepared to play its best football, and reaches its maximum potential. I've had enough of watching immensely talented teams bumble through football games.

That 4th and 6 play defines Miles football for me. Confusion, chaos and frustration.

Miles will not take this if offered. For those that want him to, who do have in mind that you can guanratee! will do better. no one.
Another consideration- if les went to CU, do you think he would just quit recruiting La players, not likely. We get too many raids from saban already.

I guarantee I can find someone who knows when the clock starts and stops, which will automatically make them better than Miles.

If Les Miles had started this season like Richt has at UGA...I shudder to think what this board would be like, especially without the added benefit of a National Championship in 2007.

That said, people better be careful what they wish for...

No it does not. There are many more factors to success. You also did not name any one.Muchless one that would actually take the job.

Don't think the question is would Miles leave 100% on his own thinking all is equal. Miles may be being told the window is closing or it doesn't hurt to look. In the end this is a business which comes a business decision. Does Miles stay here and hope to get the O turned around and risk being let go in 2 years or go to a place like CO with a much longer contract and fresh start?

Les Miles cannot manage time...how do you think he manages his money? No way he takes the pay-cut. Thats like going from the store manager of a Super Target to a shift manager at Dollar General.
