I don't mean to kill the topic, but I'm with everyone on the whole defense not living up to it's potential and what not. But I am ready to spread some optimism, and I do believe that come Saturday, they will be there and more than ready to show us what they are capable of. I'm ready to see them fired up for a big game.
I see a good balance on offense, Mett throws for 250, and we rush for 150-175. I say we allow 350 yards but force two turnovers, and get three sacks.

I think how our linebackers play against the run of Gurley and Marshall will determine how successful our defense will be

True. But it would take a load off of our linebackers if freak and ego have an awesome showing. (Common sense but still)

Are you kidding? Those kind of stats guarantee a loss. The offense will have over 200 yards rushing. Get ready for a track meet. The faint of heart needs to stay home and turn off your sets.

Not really. In 2011 we put up around 237 yards and 35 offensive points against UGA in the dome. Neither their defense or special teams has gotten better. I predict Beckham to light it up two ways Saturday and somebody unexpected to have their coming out party on offense or defense.

Base Stats:
Mett 330 3TDs
RB/FBs 220 3TDs 1TO
One FG
Beckham 240 APY 2TDs
410 YA 4TDs 1 FG 3TOs
45-31

Look I hate to agree, but I do. Both offenses look very good and UGA has put up points on both Clemson and USC, so look for them to get their points against us especially since they are playing at home. We are going to get ours also so it is going to come down to which defense can contain the other offense, not stop the offense and I think LSU will step up and do the best job of that.

But as everyone knows playing away in the SEC is not easy, but playing away against a good SEC team extremely difficult. What we have going for us this year that we really didn't have last year is the confidence in the offense that they can go down and score when they really need to. Look for both teams to be over 30pts in this game with LSU winning by 7.

we always have a game or two every year where they just give the QB hell and no one expected it.

Sorry Murray, let this be one!!
4 sacks
A hurry on 75% of all pass attemps
18 knockdowns
3 batted passes

Special teams, turnovers, and time of possession will be keys in this one. Penalties also.

I hope we turn the clock back to '03 when we just annihilated David Greene! Seriously, we have to stop the run!! Murray is good, but if we make them one dimensional our pass defense will be up for the challenge.

It would be really, really nice. I am not sure I've seen as much focus and determination in this year's defense (up to now). I am hoping this is the game our defensive potential explodes - all over those hedges.

We're always better against the pro style... D will play very good Saturday.
QT is back and 2 redshirts pulled off young DL
No threat for QB run.
D bosses big time on UGA

I am really not sure how anyone could have thought the defense would be as good as previous years with all the people they lost.

The team that settles for field goals will lose. It will take touchdowns to win.
