To the OP's question, I think there are more choices than Les or a egomaniac. Its that "no grass on the other side of the fence" approach that gets programs in trouble - Va Tech comes to mind.

You are obviously as dense about business as you are about college football.

Here's a few thieving CEO's to do your homework on:

Kenneth Lay (Enron)
Chuck Conway (Kmart)
George Shaheen (Webvan)
Bernard Ebbers (Worlcom)
Angelo Mozilo (Countrywide)
John Rigas (Adelphia)

And he does. He's won a LOT of games. He has struggles against Saban.

I'm good with who we have now.

Truth is Saban was here and he left of his own accord. He went to the NFL and then to Bama. He ain't coming back no matter how much some people pine for him. He's like a ultra fine wife that left her husband to try to make it in hollywood or something and when she couldn't she came back and took up with that neighbor who is her husband's competitor and rival. Some husbands would give up their dignity and mope for her and always throw here in their current wife's face. But it won't bring her back.

At some point it might reach a point like Joe Paterno or Bobby Bowden, maybe Mack Brown and maybe Mark Richt. But it ain't there yet. There is the other side where teams get rid of coaches if they haven't reached the ultimate highs often enough only to spend a decade or more in a downward spiral.

Stats show Miles makes $4.3 million in 2015

Both Saban ($6.9) and Sumlin ($5.something)make more --- Sumlin is in his 4th year and has not won a division title yet and will finish no better than 3rd in the SECW again this year.

Freeze, Belima make the same as Miles - neither has won a division title

You have to go all the way down to about the 9th spot on the list to drop below $4 million and you get to Stops at UK and new coach McElwain at Florida is at $3.5... Derek Mason at Vandy has not won an SEC game and make $2.25.....

So pay is not "to win chmpionships" directly... it's to Lead the Program and Miles does that well.

End story.

The fact that Miles has convinced a large portion of the masses that this is who he truly is may be the greatest accomplishment of his life.

Interesting. Then how did Ole Miss beat them the last two years and Tennessee take them down to the wire. According to your chart, neither of those teams has the talent LSU has.
