This guy has proven time and again (and motherfricking again) that he can not lead a search. Hell there was no search five years ago and the football search was a sham. Please tell me the school is hiring a firm and someone higher up (IDGAF if it's King of the Jews Alexander...someone ANYONE but Alleva) makes the call based on the best interests of the program.

I have watched about 4 minutes of LSU Basketball this year. It feels like no matter what happens it will never be the same. Hope this plays out some kind of way where we're all excited about the future.

The good news is Alleva can't hire Jason Capel after watching his performance without K this year. You know Duke boy was going to try that bullshite.

ETA: I'm giving him too much credit. If Capel says he learned something and brings a Trapper Keeper, I bet he gets the gig.

He's an athletic director from a basketball school...I'm quite certain he will see this as his moment to shine.
Fail.

The only Dook asst that should ever be mentioned:

Unfortunately he has a job where he can do rails and city hop and bang as many sloots as possible without his own players' SO's getting mixed in.

He will be. And he will fail again. He has proven time and time again he cannot go out and get the best guy. He will take the easy hire once again.

Alleva isn't going to be fired, so it's going to be him to make the new hire. The perfect time to fire him was after the fiasco with Miles at the end of the 2015 season, but he wasn't for some reason. I can only assume he has some influential people in his corner.

Maybe they are happy with the financials, I don't know. For the life of me, I can't see how anyone is comfortable with him hiring a coach given his track record.

Well Collis and Dale were the search last round, so it'll be interesting to see who he goes after.

Alleva has been money with the non-revenue hires, but basketball and football have been a total clusterfrick thus far.

I'm not getting excited and just assuming Stans is the guy

Alleva is a Search Man.
Best in the business.
Let him do his thing, playing to his strength.

Yeah no kidding. If Joe Alleva says the words " I am the search" then go ahead and prepare yourself for disappointment.

Alleva had very little say in hiring JJ, lets see who he targets this go around.

Guarantee it'd be randy Livingston. We've had our guy all along.

At the end of Miles I said we better hope Joe goes first. But I was assured no way LSU wouldn't hire a firm to do the search.

Well then we got the comments from Alleva, thinking he was Judge Dredd. Shortly after that King said he would be involved in the search as well.

So yeah, I'm thinking we are screwed either way.

Remember, this was Johnny's dream job. He said he'd walk from North Texas to be the coach here.

Then he's being overpaid and not doing his Job and giving the athletes the best chance to win. That snake has stood in front of LSU fans and lied his arse off.

JJ has as much potential today as he did the day he was hired. Why if he was hired then knowing this would be the outcome why would you now want to fire him. He is and has done exactly what his potential said he would. He has held up his end why fire him now if you hired him then????

Look at it this way. He's due to make a good hire.
