Latz, a highly touted 2014 signee, did not pitch this season after the injury flared up in February. The southpaw was expected to compete for a starting weekend spot before the injury. True. The kid was homesick I'm sure. I also worry about outside influences getting in his ear too. I heard one JC coach had tried to get in contact with him.
