Gotcha. Just to clarify for the folks. This guy is crippled in that he's hunched over and looks like he can't really move too fast. I've never seen him in a wheelchair or on crutches or something similar.

I don't mind him that much. I have bought from him but always around face value or lower. I tell him what I'm willing to pay and if he says no I move along.

Fck a scalper. The one's hanging out at LSU buying from nice folks and then selling them above face are assholes.

most of those guys try and buy the tickets for well below face value and then resell them for a little profit (perfectly legal).

I think it was the 2010 Bama game when I got 2 tickets for $70 each. My buddy that was going with me went full douchebag and decided he was gonna sell his for $100. Left me to go to the game by myself.
As I was getting ready to go in, I see a black guy trying to sell to an old man that couldn't hear too well for $200. I walked up and handed my ticket to the old man and told him to enjoy the game.
Scalper immediately offered me $20 for the ticket even though he had one in his hand but I just ignored him. The guy was pissed. I wish I would've told him what a pos he was.
The old man offered to wait around to see if we could get two tickets together and he would buy them so I could go to the game also. Since the game was about to start I told him to go enjoy it. I really wanted to go but that scalper pissed me off so much that I couldn't help myself. frick them people.
The old man tried to get me to take face value but I wouldn't do it after I told him he could have it for free in front of the scalper.
I felt great about what I had done. As I left I looked back and saw the old man...

selling the fricking ticket!

Lesson learned.

Who the frick has this kind of time on their hands to scalp tickets?

I don't know what he does but she was a high school student. They were out at almost every game last year and in prior years. I guess high school students have time to scalp.

She would set up her lawn chair and let people come hand her tickets then give them to dad.

I know a guy that sells tickets to LSU hoops, football and baseball religiously as if it were his second job. I even saw him at Bryant Denny last year.

These scalpers exist because suckers who buy tickets from them above face value exist. Any patient person who is willing to give minimal effort will find someone selling extra tickets for or below face value.

Don't buy from the scalpers, the tickets may be stolen. A few years back, I knew someone who came in for the bama game, went to lunch, and when he got back to the room an hour later, the bama and arkansas tickets had been torn out of his season tickets book. That's when he learned not to bring the booklet with him anymore and to keep his tickets on him when he left the room.

The funniest part was that, although they took the bama and arkansas tickets, they didn't take the ole miss tickets. Cause frick ole miss, I guess.

Dude is crippled and you people are complaining he's trying to make a few dollars?
He's a bad guy because he's providing a service some people need and not wasting his time to lose money?

He is out there every game. One minute, he will have his hand up looking for 4 tickets (or some number), and the next, he will be holding up tickets to sell. He generally stands right across from the free lot, where they walk across.
