The big plus in facing a B12 team is that it may leave a resounding "Absolutley" to the question of releasing our current Co-DC situation after a(nother) national exposure of our struggling D

LSU has zero percent chance to play in Cap 1.

Agreed.

It is Cotton or Outback for LSU, unless we lose out and then it is Peach.

1969 Cotton Bowl takes 10-0 ND over 9-1 LSU(23-26 loss to Arch), breaking their 35Y Bowl ban!

ND is a below average to poor football team. Their time has passed.

In about a week ND will play on the road in a nationally televised game against a hungry USC team, playing for BCS-style points and it could get VERY ugly. When that happens, ND's bowl stock will drop lower than the New York Stock Exchange. Of course, it would be even better if they would lose this weekend to a horrible Syracuse team, but I doubt that will happen.

But they will still be a huge draw and I think we get the shaft again and have to go to Atlanta.

Why is it such a bad thing to play in Dallas. The game is on Jan 2nd at 1pm. It is a good chance bring in Texas recruits.

Plus side: LSU doesn't get skull fricked by whatever Big 12 team we would play.

Down side: Getting skull fricked by a Big 12 team may convince Miles to hire a real DC.

If we do, I won't mind seeing Notre Dame get crushed once again in a bowl game.

Yes we can. If Syracuse and USC win the point is moot because the rules are 7 -5 temas need to be picked before 6 -6. But. Nothing says a 7 -5 like the Irish can't be picked before a 9 -3 LSU team Go Big Orange this weekend

It is very possible. While LSU travels well in general, people need to realize that people at LSU are now spoiled. The Cotton Bowl is seen as a pointless game now. This alone may be a reason the Cotton goes with Notre Dame. Their fans travel whether they are good or suck.

It's all about money, and I assure you that more ND fans would get pumped up for the Cotton Bowl this year than LSU fans.

Not sure they are assuming LSU would finish 9-3
