from not playing in the Cotton Bowl?
LINK

Is there a real chance they would pass on a 9-3 LSU for a 7-6 ND?

I HIGHLY doubt that would happen. But if it did the Cotton Bowl would make the biggest mistake of their lives. Notre Dame is about to be 1-16 in their last 17 games against opponents with a winning record. So do they really stand a chance against Oklahoma? Hell, we barely stand a chance and we'd beat Notre Dame by 3 or 4 td's.

Getting screwed out of playing in the Cotton Bowl is a good thing.

Maybe LSU should vote not to go to the Cotton Bowl?

No. The defending National Champs in the next state over. Not to mention we match up WAY better against any Big 12 team than Notre Dame. The Cotton Bowl wants to be taken more seriously--taking Notre Dame would not help that.

I wouldn't use the word "screwed" for having that occur.

I would love to watch Notre Dame get assraped by a Texas or Oklahoma.

More power to them.

The game is not at 10 am anymore. It's still a fairly shitty time, since it is now Jan 2nd and most have to work. But to me, the negative of getting 'screwed' out of the Cotton Bowl is we have to hope for the Chick-fil-a to pick us up or it could be Shreveport bound.

Recently, it has been played at 10 a.m. on NYD.

This year, it's at 1 p.m. on Jan. 2.

Next year, the bowl moves to the Cowboys new stadium.

The move to the new Cowboy stadium could get them a BCS bowl.

Anyone think that it will make a push to be the fifth BCS Bowl?

It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. Jerry Jones certainly will be pushing for it.

Adding one more BCS bowl would make the argument for a four-team playoff more plausible.

If tradition meant anything, it should be them instead of the Dorito Bowl.

The Cotton Bowl always seemed (and seems) to have bad luck weather-wise, which Phoenix was able to take advantage of.

So there would be 6 freaking BCS Bowl games? 12 teams? That's getting a little ridiculous.
