why should jj be on the field when we are blowing out teams? LSU isn't a charity school, we need mett on the field getting live reps. JJ is the past, lee is the current with mett.

My only problem with that has more to do with timeing and class then anything else. I understand not liking JJ as LSU's QB. I do. As much as I felt he gave LSU the best chance of success (as clearly did the coaching staff by keeping him as the starter) I have always found him to be INCREDIBLY frustrating to watch!!
But what we had when this story break was akin to fans cheering when a player gets hurt so that their favorite can come in and take his place. It was ugly, and uncalled for and without a doubt still colors the opinion of some regarding JJ's involvement in this situation.
I understand this isn't the case for all, but to pretend that some were not as giddy as a school girl when they heard Jefferson had been implicated in this because it meant they'd get their wish fulfilled is wrong. Those people, in my opinion, deserved to be continually called out...just as you would hopefully shout down some asshat cheering a player injury with the same end goal in mind.

jj should still be allowed to go to class get his degree then he can go to another school and play his final season there. all parties are happy and brpd has egg on its face.

Why would we want that either? We want our QB for next year to get more experience on the field.
Not sure how that's hating on JJ rather than properly preparing for being a fan of Mettenberger next year?

Ok...but what Lee goes down? You want JJ or Mett? I'm sure you'll say Mett, which to me is absurd.
I get that JJ isn't the best QB, but it just pisses me off when I see so much hate for a 21 year old kid.

And you realize these two things can be separate and still happen right? JJ can simultaneously receive justice by being cleared, and come sit on the bench at LSU because we don't want to change from Lee who is doing a fine job.
And if you do think we should bench lee when JJ comes back, where's the justice for lee? he's doing exactly what he's being asked to do, very well I might add, and he gets punished because of it?

I think justice would include JJ being allowed back onto the team and being utilized in any way the coaches see fit.
To be kicked off of a team because you were trying to help break up a fight is not any form of justice I recognize.
Of course this is all dependant on if this story JJ's lawyer is spinning is true.

I do not hate JJ.
However, I do not think he is a good passer.
I get it that there is a new OC and a new QB coach.
Maybe JJ will be better this year.
I still want JL to start. JJ can share snaps with Mett if there is a runaway game, and JJ can come in on the 4 and do his thing.
I do not want JJ on the field if it is a long field. Just inside the 5.
JL is the better passer of the two.

i dont personally hate jj. I could careless about him personally. I dont think his play is as good as mett. His experience doesn't out weight the pure talent of mett.

It's not hate.. if this had never happened I would still not want JJ out there, he has ZERO pocket presence, which just doesn't work in the SEC.

why should jj get the chance to share snaps? its a waste of time to take live game reps away from mett for a qb that never belonged in the sec in the first place.
also with his family popping off like they have been the kid is a distraction. I want him to get justice and i want the brpd to have egg on their face but I do not want to see this boil over to a distraction for this team.
