What a steal that is. Chinea has the best swing I've seen in years.

Never challenge Erin on baseball knowledge. She'll prove a 20 something year old girl knows more about the game than 96% of the guys posting here.

FYI, her dad is a former LSU great

Are you really this obtuse? I knew there was a sizeable list. No, I didn't know every name.

wikipedia.

I didn't go to wiki for my first post. I was aware that many more players went straight to the majors then were being talked about here. I did google the comoplete list to satisfy a request that was made.

I figured I'd find between 50 and 75 who pulled it off. Actally there were more.

Nice reference. I just went back and looked at that scene with the warden.

Thanks Mr. Sam but I think my father would be amused by the word great. He had a very good career at LSU. Let's stay away from words like great.

He did, he's a phenomenal athlete. I wish the reds would pitch hit him more than the shite we have on our bench.

4 in the last 25 years.

That isnt a very sizable list considering how long baseball has been around. To pretend that is common was pretty obtuse.

That's great and all but it has nothing to do with whether or not Chinea will sign

Except the discussion was not confined to the last 25 years. Hell, given the time baseball has been around, the 100 or so who went straight to the majors is a miniscule amount given the number of players who have played at that level.

The point I was making is that it is far more sizeable than what many here believed it to be.
