Go tell that to Notre Dame. They've really been lighting it up on talent alone.

They were a year removed from a title and had much better lines on both sides of the ball. And the great Saban. Are you telling me this Miles team would beat that Saban team?

No No team will ever beat a Saban team. Never. No place. Saban is a football god. We must all worship him and bow down to him. He is the best that has ever been or will ever be.

and lost 3 players they didn't have the depth to make up for (mauck, clayton, hill)

saban hadn't built our program to the level it realized in 2007, when we could suffer a QB injury and keep going

this miles team would get killed by that team b/c of coaching

In spite of coaching! Dead on!!! I’m sorry if the fans don't see this then those fans are oblivious!
When are we going to see misdirection with Trindon or Shep in motion!? EVERY team runs this play and it works!!!
But in spite of poor play calling, the tigers pulled out a win! Congrats to the players!!!
On defense I was happy to see LSU putting pressure on their wangster arse QB! It is what won the game for the tigers!

So Saban built it up after '04? How does that work exactly? You're just another one of these Miles bashing twits that manipulates "facts" how ever you see fit. And if someone doesn't agree with you, then surely they are a 20 year old immature know nothing that must have just jumped on the bandwagon.

Les Miles has faced Nick Saban three times. In year one, he won the game. In year two, he outcoached Saban but interceptions spoiled the game. In year three, he outcoached Saban but injuries to LSU's starting CB, QB, and RB derailed our momentum.

Care to explain why Saban failed to use his Heisman RB AT ALL in the first half against us? THAT was a brilliant coaching move.

No, SloFloPro is the #1 LSU bashing twit, period.

Yet he claims to be an LSU fan and to have an IQ of 165.

Good one. So the 2004 squad had a veteran who had previously been inconsistent (Randall) and an inexperienced, but more talented 19 year-old (Russell) at QB. Hmm, sounds a bit like Lee and Jefferson. Indeed, I'd venture that the 2004 QB situation looked more promising because of Russell's upside.

Michael Clayton. He's probably a bigger loss than Byrd. Was Hill really a bigger loss than Tyson Jackson?

I know we're all supposed to have realized that Miles is killing the program but it's strained logic to say that Saban's 5th year was less talented than Miles' 5th team. I think they are very close actually.

You know, it's ok to have a view and admit that your view is not beyond reproach.

Um, that would be "despite" coaching. I agree. Just think what might have been had the coaches actually...coached!

I'd venture a guess that most of those whining about 9-3 are under 35.
