This is addressed to everyone in this thread:

If you've watched any of the other College football live episodes where they go through the different states, you wouldn't have been letdown by this. For instance, they spent a good bit of time talking about Iowa State University for the state of Iowa. I actually found the show sort of interesting, you don't get to hear about the smaller programs alot nationally, and for people out of state, that can be informative. They hear about LSU all the time.

Why? Robinson said LSU wasn't going to allow a black QB anyway.

no they weren't, Williams even said no southern football powers were recruiting black QBs

This pretty much shows what Robinson, Williams and you know.

I guess none of ya"ll ever heard of Carl Otis Tremble?

I appreciate that you mentioned Carl. . .but I would say that exceptions in many cases do not alter perceptions. Also, Otis was a converted tailback that was slated to run the veer. . .at least that is according to this SI article from '74 (LINK )

For all I know Grambling ran the veer also but if they didn't. . .then making a case against going to LSU wouldn't have been that difficult it seems.

It was a terrible show. I was hoping for more tulane and tech coverage. Tech was the only other team in the state to make a bowl, and win none the less...has the only other program on the upswing, and not get one highlight? How do you not vote for bradshaw, he only won 5 superbowls....not to mention roaf or dean.

I know more tech than tulane, but man, no highschool or upcoming season segments, they owe ALL the louisiana schools an apology for the coverage.

i hope espn receives some bad feedback on the lack of coverage for our state.

So its not a case of being racist, but simply a case of one prospect busting while another sleeper blossomed late.

We just missed on Williams. I can't see why some people can't admit he was a miss. He was a freaking super bowl champion quarterback. Trimble didn't play in a single bowl game.

I watched as many of these series as I could. Coach Robinson was a great coach and a great man. Most of you were too young to remember the days of segregation. Hopefully we have moved past that. Facts are facts but to be fair all colleges were guilty of the same thing during that era. Coach Robinson had Grambling, while white America had Notre Dame. The SEC had Alabama. Get over the fact that Grambling meant so much to so many, I don't have a problem with that and neither should most of you. As for as the show it was poorly done, the commentators were talking about plays being shown that didn't match the actual games and several players names were mispronounced. But I didn't see any negativity addressed towards LSU.

the show today was very poorly done. It appeared that everyone was unprepared and they just winged it. I have seen some of the other states, and I was looking forward to seeing their selection for best high school rivalry, best high school coach, etc. Also, go over the key dates on LSU schedule. When discussing some of LSU's notable players, no mention of one Bert Jones. I never heard one mention of one of the country's top 1-AA powers, McNeese State. I could go on, but you get the picture.
