LSU didn't recruit Williams and you think this was a bad choice? Maybe, maybe not but I ask you this?

Grambling is a major power if you ask espn and the biggest pro pipline with over 200 players in the nfl. Also apparently the flagship university of louisiana. Must be they dedicated the show to them.

Really, Really bad. Saunders was not prepared for this. Couldnt even pronounce Kevin Mawae or Matt Forte. And Tech was the only other team to make a bowl game and hasnt even gotten a highlight yet. Hell even the LSU coverage has been terrible.

Is that how Caddo is pronounced? I've always heard it pronounced Cad Doe.

Bradshaw wins all 50 states, but Saunders would've voted for Williams.

so there was no racism at LSU?

I am sure their was, just as their was at Alabama, Georgia, Auburn as well as Grambling and Southern.

My point it they were making it sound like LSU was racists and this was resposible for gramblings success. In more ways than one that is a slap in the face of Eddie Robinson and Grambling as well as Southern.

All I know is that Grambling was a powerhouse in the old days because of all the black talent they stockpiled, it's what made Robinson a legend.

Espn is the most black loving peice of crap on tv. Why dont we just make Eddie and Doug saints. They could move to rome and continue their hatred of white people. In fact, move espn over ther and put every black person in charge. Shouldnt people get a job based on race rather than their qualifications. John sanders is the biggest racist out there. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!

and an all time low for espn cutting away from the grambling love to talk about iowas running back and how it will hurt them in the slow 10 way to wrap up the show. That was great.

Agreed, I do not mean to be super critical, but yes this has been a let down as a LSU fan. Admittingly biased but they could have thrown in a bit about the current team. And the outlook of "Louisiana Football" and not just the past. Oh well, back to making my plans for Washington.

None of those states have black colleges with the tradition of Grambling and Southen.

We chose Robiske. Bad call.

Why? Robinson said LSU wasn't going to allow a black QB anyway.

I heard Robiske was a divisive figure on the team because he was a black power activist. Split the team blacks v white.

That is what my uncle told me. I was, in actual fact, not alive at the time. My uncle could have been wrong. Also, it is possible I have Robiske confused with somebody else. But I am pretty sure it was Robiske.

I know he put up great stats, but during Robiske's soph-senior seasons (74-76) we didn't go to a single bowl game.

Robiskie was a great player and the first Tiger to ever run for 1000 yards.

True, but again, check out the fact that we didn't make a bowl game with him running for us.

Super Bowl winning QB, man.

what other major college power recruited him?

It was a different ball game back then. I understand that. I realize we were looking for an athlete because we didn't think a black person could play QB. That was our bad.
