Damn guys, we really took a tumble in the polls after that Nicholls loss.

Im sure he'll pitch but i'd like him to start. I think he could do a lot better than Bouman or Norman in the 4th starter role.

Unless PM wants his role to be out of the bullpen on the weekend which is more important than midweek starter.

Mainieri has been saying that he thinks Newman can be a reliever who can come in the middle of an inning and get out of the jam as opposed to a guy who starts an inning in relief.

I've heard him say this year that he likes him out of the pen.

Chinea is 2nd to last in OPS and 3rd to last in average. Time to bat him 8th.

But seriously i dont understand why he bats cleanup.

So if the Tigers take care of business against Ole Miss and the softball team does the same against UF, LSU could conceivably be No 1 in both baseball and softball

Baseball polls are funny.

Polls aren't funny, they're absurd. Humans voting on which teams they think are better than others - when most of the voters haven't even seen the teams play - is just nonsense. The whole concept of human polls (for all sports) is a joke, and has been for decades.

Baseball has a playoff system to determine who's the best. No need to pay attention to polls.

Aggies are still beating their chests about being named the Houston College Classic champions, despite the fact LSU also went undefeated in the tournament.

"The 2015 Houston College Classic concluded tonight at Minute Maid Park with Texas A&M being named the Tournament Champions with a perfect 3-0 record. The Aggies were matched by LSU, which also went 3-0, but earned the tiebreaker with a plus-eight run differential, as opposed to the Tigers plus-six mark."

So dumb. Should be co-champs

We'll give them this and take the division and conference.

They can have the best year ever and still have to get through Texas and TCU to get to Omaha.

Which is alot tougher than the two Texas schools they faced in this tourney.

They had their best year ever and then ran into LSU int the postseason. It didn't end well for them.

Polls give us a window into what a committee might think. That's all they are. So they're good resources for fans who may not be able to pay attention to the national scene come post season. And for fans who are diehards, it's just more stuff to discuss and argue over. I see no problem with them.

I'd love to hear the explanation for him starting every game while our .417 hitter gets the bench instead of DH on his off days at catcher.
