You're right. It should have been easier to beat Bama.
I certainly don't think anyone should be giving him shite about losing. Only getting shut out.

Sure, you'd have been so much happier to lose 29-7.
Bravo, LoonyTune!

Do you have a point? I’d have been happier had we tried to score.

Orgeron could have run out there naked and dropped a duece on the 50 yard line and Bayou would be praising him for it
I don't know about that, but I would like to have seen this.

I just watched replay again. I do believe we did try to score!

Coach O stood at the precipice of greatness...and then failed to seize the moment. Had he went full throttle with the offense, left the punter in the locker room, called all the trick plays, and aired it out with 5 wide, he could have won the hearts of this fan base—even if we didn’t win.
But by basically conceding defeat and going conservative, he gave the naysayers ammunition and ticked off the recently converted. It’s a shame he didn’t seize the day.
This.
When it came time to seize the moment his a-hole puckered up.
Fail.
This is who he is. It's not going to change

Who the hell wouldn't? It's not very encouring to have the guy that is the hand pick OC by the head coach get shut out in his only two tries.

You are crying like a baby over spilled milk.
We got demolished by the best team in America top to bottom. You are looking to blame someone to pacify your low esteem. Life don't work that way, bro. When you're inferior you get beat - simple math.
Had he gone for it and lost on 4th down we'd have still been shut out. Somehow that makes you feel better? Help me?
Truth - we played them better than anyone else so far this year. I'll bet that consolation rings bright for you, huh?

Les left O bare and O has done a decent job reaching to JUCO and transfers to shore up what would have been a worse OL than had he not.
You only get so many recruits per year and they ususally don't start for a few years.
Orgeron told certain players to leave the program once he was named HC, including OL-men.
You don't do that then get to pin a lack of depth on Miles.

When you climb off, tell Coach O we said hi

Oh! THAT's why we lost!

No. No he did not. The recruiting classes are down since the O hire and he has brought in three transfers, only two of which have meant improvement.
People who think Les left the lines bare are wrong. The D Line was worriesome but Les hired O to fix the D Line after Chavis in the first place. And if Les was still here we would have more talent on this team.
I’m not saying it wasn’t time for Les to go, but the whole reason we hired O was for continuity, so this whole “rebuild” mentality is horse shite. This team had the horses to beat everyone except Bama with terrible playcalling (we should have beaten UF) and could have at least hung with Bama if you had a real OC.

Les failed at keeping the good Louisiana players home. They wrecked us. Jury still out on O there. Looking good though. 5 stars stayed home last year and more will this year. I am optimistic on the future of Tiger football.

No he didn’t. The majority stayed home. And he more than made up for it in Texas and Florida.
O is doing just as terrible, if not worse because Moses wanted to play for Miles but when he was fired we lost any chance.
A decade of top 5 recruiting classes is not “leaving the cub board bare.” And it is not failing to keep the state talent at home.
Hell there are only 4 players Les didn’t get that went to Bama that were even worth worrying about, and he kept many more than that.
Les’s deficiencies were real, but they were never recruiting, and anyone who pretends that O inherited anything less than a Ferrari are delusional.

This Bama team is “Pretty good”
Possibly top 5 all-time.
Possibly top 5 all-time.

They have only shut out one team this year
