We could all support and cementing his spot in Louisiana lore on Saturday. Imagine it...he has the number 3 team in the land. He has little Nicky and his dark side Bama team coming to town. The fans are packed in and the atmosphere is electric.

Coach O stood at the precipice of greatness...and then failed to seize the moment. Had he went full throttle with the offense, left the punter in the locker room, called all the trick plays, and aired it out with 5 wide, he could have won the hearts of this fan base—even if we didn’t win.

But by basically conceding defeat and going conservative, he gave the naysayers ammunition and ticked off the recently converted. It’s a shame he didn’t seize the day.

First time I ever left a Bama game early. When he punted down 22-0 he quit.

This was real football. Not a Hollywood movie.
I can understand the decision at that point in the game. Can you?

You have to be aggressive. No excuses. You’ve seen Bama dismantle everyone all year. Go big or go home

Les left O bare and O has done a decent job reaching to JUCO and transfers to shore up what would have been a worse OL than had he not.
You only get so many recruits per year and they ususally don't start for a few years.

Kicking three with the Lou Groza finalist is a gimme. Nope the Lou Groza award finalist MISSES!
The thought process of 3 and winning an onside kick andscoring was MORE AGGRESSIVE than getting stuffed again on 4th and 2.
You FAIL to see that though!

If you think that's why they went for 3 then you are very gullible.

Wait a minute.

Down 22-0 at the opponents 38 yd line in the 3rd quarter, 4th and 8 and you think punting is the right decision?

Orgeron could have run out there naked and dropped a duece on the 50 yard line and Bayou would be praising him for it. No matter what the coach does, Bayou has a hard on for it.

Naaah...the better alternative was for our flourishing Offense to go for it on 4th and 2 and lose again. Yeah, that's it! It would have lit a fire and we'd have come back strong and won the game.

Argue the point, LoonyTune.
Tell me what you'd have done and why?

I certainly wouldn't have quit on my team and then I wouldn't have gone into the press conference and told my players through the media that they aren't good enough and that I need better players to score points.

You're right. It should have been easier to beat Bama.
