Didn’t Ensminger set records with the same offense that got Miles and Cam fired

How many did he break against Bama and Florida?

Because he can't just appoint a permenant replacement

So now we interject him saying appoint.

There is a whole lot of panicking by the women here this morning, but he can appoint a tent, not a permenant.

Ensminger doesn't want the full time gig. We've been through this before

O wants to run an offense like SC ran under Carroll. Sounds good to me.

But where was anything said about appointing,??,

And are you saying the head coach has no say in hiring his OC,

If you buy into the OP, that's an appointment.

The more I learn about Eaux the more I think he is a complete A$$. I guess we will see soon enough if he has any idea about how to make LSU a championship team.

So why didn't he do that in the first place?

FWIW, I thought our offense played well against a pretty good Florida defense. Alabama...not so much. Coach E as a bowl game interim- okay, permanently...nope. If O makes this hire, then he and E will be attached much like Les and Cam. One shitty game on offense and both will be on the hot seat. It would seem to be a major gamble. I guess we will see.

No I'm going on what he said. Interpretation is what others are doing adding in appointing and interim and for the bowl game.

Then why did he hire Canada in the first place?

I have heard say O that he wants a USC type offense more than once.

He said it a bunch when Lane was in play last year.

But that’s not even close to what Canada runs.

Reading the whole statement I saw it differently, but by all means go ahead and melt down based on low probability.

Ensminger doesn't appear to want a long term OC gig

Because when he was hired he said he would hire the best coordinators that he could find. Unless you believe the best coordinator is on the staff already. When he hired Canada he appeared to be the best that he could find. Why would he change his hiring practice.

Let's see...

1. CEO was told he wasn't even going to be considered for USC job... he left.

2. Ensminger is considered very important. TEs are finally being used, they are critical to this offense, and he's a very good recruiter and integral to N La.

To publicly say "nah, he's not good enough" and close that door when ONLY bad things could come of it would be retarded. CEO knows how that feels and how insulting it would be. Even if CSE doesn't want the job- you don't unnecessarily publicly insult the guy. Now if you wanted him to quit- go for it. But we don't.
