Yes

That QB play has been on the level of the other areas of the team?

No, it has been far below the level of the other areas of the team, because the talent level has been far below the level of the other areas of the team.

QBs recruited and developed

You realize that, while linked, these are separate entities? If you recruit piss-poor quarterbacks, then even when developed, they are average at best. Jefferson and Jennings were never intended to be the starting quarterback for LSU. The proper succession would have been:

'05-'06, Russell
'07, Flynn
'08-'09, Perrilloux
'10-'11, Lee
'12-'13, Mettenberger
'14-'15, Kiel
'16-'17, Harris

I am looking at McNeese only. If BH is in to throw 25 times on Saturday we got issues.

We've had NFL caliber play, from 3 NFL-caliber players, for 4 of Miles' 10 seasons. And, if you count Perilloux, that's a 4th NFL-caliber player (who played lights out for the brief time he was here). And, except for 1 game in 2011, we didn't need NFL quarterbacking to win a single game - so that gets him to half of his seasons when either QB play was great or barely relevant.

I don't know what else to tell you - weird attrition problems and headcase issues are rightfully on Miles' plate, but you can't slam him for all the bad without giving him credit for the good, as well.

Coach didn't name Harris the starter. He said he's getting the first snaps

So let me see if I understand what your saying, Brandon Harris will get the first snaps at QB in the game on Saturday. Meaning he will be the first QB in the game on Saturday. But somehow, that does not make him the starter.

Please explain. I'm sure you'll come back with something like "he didn't name him the starter for the season". I guess that is technically correct but good God man, enjoy the moment.

I was really expecting this thread to be longer by now with a lot more fapping going on. Doesn't matter that we were sure Harris was the starter anyways, to hear it said by Miles is something to be happy about.

Jesus, some people could wipe their asses with 24kt gold toilet paper and still bitch about it.

#LSU coach Les Miles: Brandon Harris has done everything we’ve asked him to and continued to improve.

Ross Dellenger ?@DellengerAdv
Miles says he "wouldn't hesitate" to play both if need be. #LSU

Pretty obviously implies that Harris the starter.. not "just taking the first snap"

Les has an ego like every other coach. He wants to look like a genius by starting Harris when Harris should've been starting. Thats like saying the receivers were not ready last year to do some things. Lol. Really???
