I have a friend that is a general surgeon in Alabama and after the NC game he wrote a letter to coach Miles. He basically said your gracious in defeat but even more so in victory. Ho complemeted Miles on his comments after our loss on November the 5th. He said most coaches would have tried to avoid playing us again and Miles was more than willing to line his tigers up again and come at us for all the marbles.

Long story short, he got a letter from Coach Miles Tuesday morning. I am going to try to get a copy of both letters and have someone here post them for us all to read. LSU fans should be proud that this man represents your university, he is all class.

But Torshiro Davis chose to go to another school, the program is sliding into mediocrity...we might only win 10 or more games next year. Everyone jump ship now, find other schools to root for before it's too late.

I enjoy the story, but duck. Half of the people here are either tying nooses around their neck, googling ways to make cyanide, or beating their families.

I think he just wanted to compliment him on how he handled the possibility of having to play Alabama again. He said he thought most coaches would have lobbied against the rematch but Miles said he would be honored to play Alabama again. I think he just wanted to recognize the fact that Miles never hesitated at the thought of playing us again for all the marbles.

Thank you Bama Scoop!!! I wish some of our fans would realize this. Look, we all know he has made some goofball decisions but at the end of the day he is a very good man. For me, I will take that any day of the week.

I don't argue that Miles is a great guy, but that was the only way he could have handled it. Had he lobbied against it, he would have got the same old 3rd grade playground crap of "He's just scared" in response.

What was he supposed to do and did he put "for all the marbles" in his letter?

He didn't put for all the marbles in his letter. The letter was very nice and respectful to coach MIles and LSU.
