If he gets his cousin to commit and sign with us, I'd think he'd be in line for a raise.

He's doing a helluva job as it is.

Why is a special teams coach recruiting a QB?

So many Peveto family members post on TD.

It's no surprise LSU went 8-5 in Peveto's first season back at LSU. LSU went 8-5 in his last season here in 2008.

We don't want to wait until Dylan Moses is about to sign. Give the man a raise. At least equal to Peveto and Grimes.

Peveto and Franks' father are friends. That's how LSU got into the race for Feleipe. Without their relationship its likely Franks doesn't visit LSU.

Grimes taught technique at LSU for the first time in almost a decade.

What's insane is that stuff takes 2-3 years to really get ingrained into your program, as it's not something you can learn overnight. You really need to have Juniors/Seniors that have had it drilled into them for years to see the dividends.

Grimes value will only increase year after year, IMO.

Yeah, Peveto is the reason they went 8-5 last year. Nailed it.

I know having a dominant secondary has more to do then just the dbs but we haven't even been close to what we were in 2011.

I wont hold you to just his time here bro. Go back as far as you would like to answer the question. The answer will be the same. He is not on Corey Raymond's level as a recruiter.

You mean the year LSU had 7 NFL defensive backs, including two 1st rounders and 1 second rounder, in the two deep? Also one of the most dominating DBs in college football history in the Honey Badger? That the group you are using as the measuring stick?

However, get back with me after this and next year. This DB group is special as well. It might have 3 or more 1st rounders (White, Adams, Toliver). And that is not counting the incoming class of DBs or the rest of last year's class.

Peveto has deep recruiting inroads in the State of Texas.

Saban tried to nab him after he was released in '08 but ultimately decided to go for the NW St. job.
