Scheme (X's and O's) - 8 out of 10

Recruiting - 9 out of 10

Chances of off the field Scandel (Petrino like would be a 1, a 10 means no chance. This is strictly for the coach and the type of person he is) - 5 out of 10 - Les has had an off the field issues with players nearly every year of being here. JJ, TM7, RP, Elliot Porter, etc. No way should he be rated highly here.

Motivator - 9 out of 10

Coaching in Practice - 9 out of 10 (how the hell would we know?)

In game manager (taking good with bad) - 7 out of 10

Loyalty to the program (grass is never greener) - 10 out of 10

Supporting staff (coordinators and pos. coaches) - 9.5 out of 10

Graduating players (we are 2nd in the SEC behind Vandy) - 9.5 out of 10

Sending players to the NFL (Developing talent) - 7.5 out of 10
Developing talent and sending players to the NFL are two different things. But you give him a 9.5 of 10 on player development? You're nuts.

Apparently shrevetown wouldn't.. he's a good coach, but I'm just not buying into "miles is the greatest coach in the nation!!" Talk that a lot of people seem to think around here. I want a championship, and I don't know that miles can lose a game or less and win the big one. Some of our fans are starting to sound like Arky fans where next year is always our year

Why would I route for Baylor or TCU? I'm from Louisiana and I went to LSU for 8 goddamn years. I'm not a negatiger, maybe I'm just not a fan anymore. So-be-it. Doesn't matter anyway.

What kind of stupid shite is that? The type of coach that he is is directly tied to the way he runs his program, etc.

If that's the basis for your grades then how in the hell do you give him a 9.5 on recruiting?

Your list is nothing more than you jerking yourself off to feel good about Les. Dumbass.

Look at the NFL draft and where the recruits were ranked that got drafted. Les is at least 9.5 if not a 10.

I never said Miles was the best coach in the nation. Quit putting words in my mouth. I happen to think that Saban is the best coach in the nation but guess what, he isn't coming back! We aren't Bama either! We are LSU and we have a top 10 possible top 5 and some would argue top 3 coach in the country. You seriously don't think I don't want a championship? I believe Miles can get that for us but there's one thing I know for sure, Saban's not going to get it for us because HE'S NOT GOING TO COACH AT LSU AGAIN!!!

Coaching in Practice - 9 out of 10

How do you know this? Just curious. If he cannot win the SEC, it is not of much use, now is it?

What does this mean? I am quite happy we aren't Alabama. Alabama has no inherent advantages over LSU.

I don't want Saban to return to LSU. But I would very much like a coach who would consistently dominate his arse on the field, a coach who could beat him 21-0 in one of the biggest games in program history, a coach who would relegate Saban and Bama to second best in the SEC West.

The funny thing is that when you suggest this to certain Miles' feltchers on this board, they immediately revert to the mantra that NO ONE can dominate Saban and that we would never be able to hire such a coach. Turns out the posters who claim to shun Saban are the very ones who are the most afraid of him.

IN any event, in terms of grades, I would give MIles a B+ (when re recuits well - so I am hoping last year was an aberation). He's a good coach, just not an elite one. That's why he prompts this ceaseless debate.

Needs to be...

Scheme (X's and O's) -
-7 out of 10 -gets out coached way too often

Recruiting - 9 out of 10
-An excellent grade because staff has a knack for finding gems, would be higher but lets some big ones get away

Chances of off the field Scandel (Petrino like would be a 1, a 10 means no chance. This is strictly for the coach and the type of person he is) - 10 out of 10
-great guy

Motivator - 7.5 out of 10
-we came out flat against Arky and Miss. but pumped for Washington and Bama...too inconsisten

Coaching in Practice - __ out of 10
-Incomplete...I have no idea, I'm not in practice every day

In game manager (taking good with bad) - 9.5 out of 10
-he does a good job staying focused...I'm assuming you're talking about keeping his emotions in check...not decision making

Loyalty to the program (grass is never greener) - 10 out of 10
-could have left but didnt'

Supporting staff (coordinators and pos. coaches) - 8.5 out of 10
-Huge misses with the Mallveto fiasco and any offensive coordinator hire but nailed it when the Chief fell in our laps.

Graduating players (we are 2nd in the SEC behind Vandy) - 9.5 out of 10
-spot on

Sending players to the NFL (Developing talent) - 8.5 out of 10
-we haven't had enough consistent development across the board.

*A few points missed*

-In game management - 5 out of 10
obvious is obvious

-Player scandal - 3/10
It seems like every year there is something big going on with a high profile player here. It's a huge problem and he has to be blamed for it.
I'm tired of hearing people say it's not his fault for having kick someone off the team or bench them. Get control of the program.

My total grade...7.95 or 79.5%= B-
