I like CT but that’s an overreaction. ND was ranked higher, had a better season, and by all accounts more talent. If we were at full strength on defense that game is different.

Is anything ever Coach O's fault?

Soooo LSU loses to a higher ranked team and LSU takes a step backwards? What if LSU wins? Did the program still take a step backwards?

You are right, and many won't comprehend the argument you are making.

It is truly amazing to watch all this O defending and ball washing.

Amazing. Embarrassing. Pathetic.

Just sad, really.

You know as well as I do that he could go 0-8 in the SEC and there would be people here defending him.

It’s like some of you think LSU is the only team that suffers injuries. ND had 3 starting receivers out.

I like CEO as a DL coach; brought color to the staff. HC, not so much, but if he succeeds and LSU dominates, then fine! I'll like him as HC, too. Meanwhile, for me, the CEO clock is ticking. One more season like this, and he can go run up the street.

What will he say if they go 10-2 or 11-1 an he wins the SEC. I’ve never seen a coach take so much heat over taking the points an relying on his defense to make a stop. You would think that this strategy has never been used in college or pro football.

Know your source... Clay Travis is a failed lawyer from Tennessee that had to become an internet sports guy. Why anyone from TN would throw stones at anyone else for coaching selection is beyond me. If you look at his bio he has pretty much failed at everything he has done.

I would take that from someone more reputable but Travis is not worthy to sniff LSU's a-hole right now.

Even if coach O won the national championship next year, you retards would all be lobbying ad nauseam to get him fired.

That joke is way past its shelf-life, and just furthers the stereotype of Louisiana being a state full of buffoons.
I am no CFB expert, but I just think Alleva and King don't want to be bothered with the football program.
They'll keep it on life support, so LSU will continue to get its share of revenue from the SEC, and King can continue to exploit it when it comes to budget time at the Capitol.

"Bothered" may not be the correct word but the football program certainly takes back-seat to all SJW issues.

They were only ranked higher because we lost at home on Homecoming to Troy.

Like Miles, Orgeron coaches to cover his rear, hoping it will buy him one more year. A confident, aggressive coach plays Brennan exclusively after the Troy loss knowing it might cost you another loss (or more), but confident it makes your team potentially elite in 2018. A confident, aggressive coach goes for it on 4th and inches against Notre Dame knowing you'll get blamed if it fails.

The Miles/Orgeron type play Etling in 2017 because that's the best way to get 9 meaningless wins. The Miles/Orgeron type kick the field goal from the inch line so you can tell the media afterward you "put the game in the defense's hands."

LSU fans will accept confident, aggressive losses. We're sick of sheepish, CYA coaching.

Full disclosure, I'm an ULL grad, but I grew up on LSU football, and I hate seeing what is happening.
There is no reason that LSU shouldn't be in the hunt every year. It has a state full of talent, with no in state rival. It has great facilities, a wonderful tradition, and a game day atmosphere that has to be one of the best in CFB.

Alleva needs to go.
