Well, the silver lining may be that if LSU decides to make a coaching change after next season it should be one of, if not the BEST job available in light of the coaching change blitz these last 2 years. Ark, A&M, MSU, Tenn., Florida, all just made new hires this year. Georgia and Alabama aren't (voluntarily) making a change anytime soon and Auburn just locked themselves to Gus with a big contract.
Outside the SEC Ohio St. is fine. Texas isn't bailing on Herman after two seasons. FSU just hired a new coach. USC likely wouldn't get rid of Helton after just winning the Pac 12.
The only potential big firings on the horizon would be Michigan and Notre Dame. Harbaugh hasn't lived up to the expectations yet, but that is a huge contract to eat after 5 years (though he may voluntarily leave). ND is a crap shoot. Could be good. Could bottom out again. ND has money, but does it still have the prestige it once had?

It sucks. It hasn't been fun to watch. The first thing I said when I heard Miles was gone was I hope they don't give Orgeron a chance because it might give them a cheap option out. Now we are watching other programs improve while we keep falling on ourselves looking stupid. But we still won 9 games so I'm not sure what it'll take for Alleva to admit he screwed up so quickly.

I think some are just addicted to contrarianism, or they're so repulsed by the people that believe O is horrible for this program that they're forced to take the other opinion, as ridiculous as they know it is.

Michigan won’t fire Harbaugh barring total collapse. LSU needs a new AD bad and will hopefully be in position to get a good up and comer. No telling who that’ll be.
Going to be hard to get a “proven winner” most proven winners are at schools that’ll match any offer we throw.

Me too.
It is painful to watch other games yesterday like the Rose Bowl knowing how we have zero chance of competing like that with the current regime in place. We need a total overhaul. Top to bottom just to breathe life into this carcass.
