he's a guard playing tackle.

Grimes is a joke! I work with Garrett Brumfield's dad. When we ask him about specifics of the team he doesn't say much, but I can tell you he's NOT a fan of Jeff Grimes!! He doesn't speak on it much, which is hard for him because he doesn't hold back normally, but I know he's frustrated with his son's lack of opportunities under Grimes. Each time we've seen Bruiser play he has done extremely well. So, when you see the O-line getting blown off the ball time and time again, and a lineman struggling to play with one arm and being ineffective, you mean to tell me Bruiser doesn't deserve a chance to play consistently? In the brief opportunities he's been given Bruiser has not missed one blocking assignment or been called for a penalty! I really hope whoever the new OC is makes it his first priority to send Grimes packing!!!

And every coach thinks they are a good coach! And I'm sure you thought you were a good coach....but just because YOU think it doesn't make it true!

While I mostly agree on that point, that's not what's happening here. Wildman has been very professional about posting his thoughts on the OL. He was an active poster, but I got the feeling he was pulling away from TD a little bit. I vaguely remember a few disgruntled posts regarding playing time. When you see the product on the field, it's not hard to imagine why. It absolutely looks like Grimes has his favorites. But Brumfield should be on the field. IMO, he needs a shot at center. Dodd is soft & underwhelming.

Do you not realize when you say stuff like this that no one takes you seriously. Everything else you said could have merit, but because of stupid shite like this you lose all credibility. Tyron Smith could come to LSU and would miss some blocks and he's the best tackle in the NFL.

Kevin Mawae would have LSU's OL tough and consistent!

Ben Wilkerson too.

Alleva will definitely spin it that way--he knew that when he made his coaching hire, he'd have a built-in excuse.

"What a gallant effort! We knew it would be a tough schedule! Wait til next year, though!"

this sucks.

I know he has his reasons and not criticizing him, but it still sucks.

Playing time couldn't have been one of the reasons, he was looking at significant time considering our depth at true OTs.

Grimes brought it in according to his first interview on 104.5. I take him at his word.

If next year is a throwaway year, O will be a thrown away coach.
