oh for sure

but i can't stand people blaming "the BCS" for that matchup. that matchup would be the matchup regardless...BCS or no BCS

I guarantee you that LSU/Clemson with their records will draw more viewers than last year and Virginia/Auburn mediocrity.

Add that to Louisville and N Illinois in BCS games?.....it's possible.

Two 10 win teams, with the way the dominoes fell, just ended up playing in Atlanta instead of another meaningless bowl.

fwiw, this bowl is usually one of the best bowl match ups year in and year out.

shite the BCS bowl you're talking about having shitty ratings had clemson as a participant last year

last year was a much bigger deal than this year. last year was a "oh shite we're good again!" year. this year is a let down

well UL is playing UF. almost no shot that they have non-BCS ratings with UF playing

Rose Bowl .. Wisconsin unranked. irrelevant. they're big10 champs. they're going to the rose regardless of BCS or no BCS

OK, replace 5 loss Wisconsin's Rose Bowl with #21 Louisville going to the Sugar.

BCS system screwed over their own bowls more than they screwed over LSU.

That's great, but the bowl sucks because your boy Miles couldn't hold a lead against Bama with a minute to go. No new years day bowl.

No New Year's Day bowl? If LSU beats Bama, we're playing in the national championship game.

Cap One was rated lower than the CFA Bowl last year.

My problem with this game is it's a New Years Eve game. The wife always drags my arse to parties and I can't watch my Tigers without sneaking a peek at my iPhone like that dude in that commercial. sucks.

Which one is gonna be more fun to watch? With all your friends on NYE? Or hungover, by yourself on the couch at 11:00 am?

What I wrote in another thread: Any bowl outside of the BCS is just an excuse to descend on some random locale like purple and gold locusts, drink all the beer, seduce all the women, teach the hapless locals how to tailgate, scream for three hours, then disappear like God's greatest fever dream.

We could go to Dallas and run the metaphorical train on pent up Bible Belt, land thievin' coeds or sojourn up to Atlanta and do the same with the Daughters of the Confederacy. Same result, slightly different accent.

F it. We gonna do what we do.

In terms of championships, the next meaningful date on the calendar is National Signing Day.

Indeed. Then it's Game 1 of the '13 season and LSU possibly winning the SEC championship for the second time in 3 years and going to the national championship for the 2nd time in 3 years.

If you're already conceding the '13 season, that's a you problem.
