Agreed. It's also irrelevant, since the game was already played and Ole Miss won. that's the only real fact here.
As I said in a thread from earlier today...having a committee while also pretending we care about "winning it on the field" is the worst of both worlds. You can;t have an eyeball test to determine who you THINK are the best teams. if you want math to solve the problem once the playoffs start, then you need to use math to pout the teams in the playoff to begin with. You only get that by having a structure whereby teams play their way in by virtue of wins...not how they look winning.

It's comical all you guys so upset when it doesn't matter....if Florida wins out...they in...If Bama wins out...they in...if LSU wins out....etc...etc...teams will earn it or they won't.

I think it is obvious as frick that these rankings were manufactured to produce the best possible matchup this weekend. They know one of those teams has to lose so why not put them both in the top 4 and remove one after a loss? It works to create better ratings and buzz.

Don't like the guy...but he is spot on tonight. Baylor hasn't played jack shite yet...it is easy for an offense like that to take care and destroy inferior teams.....wait to they play a real defense where they Can't score like they have, and no way in hell they stop a power football team with those shitty defenses. After looking at it all again, I can see why they are over teams like TCU and Baylor. Their schedules really have been awful and it will all play itself out with some big games coming up for them now.

I think they ranked Alabama #4 just so the NCAA gets another playoff game this Saturday. It's really what's best for their product. The ratings will be "HUGE" (Donald Trump voice).
