They were 10-3 with a Russel Athletic Bowl appearance just 2 seasons ago.

Still need 2 LB's to develop and an above average QB. The latter being exponentially important.

And in the last 2 yrs LSU has trended up from 8-5, 4-4, 8th in the SEC, and not ranked nationally to 9-3, 5-3, 4th in the SEC, and 16th ranked nationally. Seems like a pretty nice upswing for LSU football and reason for greater expectations for the upcoming season to me, but negative Nancy's are gonna be negative Nancy's. They just can't help themselves.

Holy shite - you think it's laudable that we went from 4-4 to 5-3 in the SEC???? For a school like us, with our elite recruiting, facilities, and support, I think both those records are very poor.

Yeah Lsu should never lose a game because the fans attend the games for two quarters and the team has skill position talent.

We finished at #16 in the nation with a true Sophomore QB playing a full SEC schedule for the first time in his life. d

There it is, the QB youth excuse.

Ask Clemson about that. Or FSU. Or Notre Dame. Or UCLA. Or Ohio State. Or a bunch of other schools that somehow manage to get productive play from young, first year starters.

None of those teams won the title last year. And according to you and the other Lsu program haters, that's all that counts.

I'd have to see it to believe it. I say 10-2 and a mid bowl game. 10-3 over all..We have to learn to beat Bama. And of course Auburn and Arkansas have been playing us well recently.

You are an idiot if you don't know QB youth, such as Harris starting one year into his career, has a direct impact on his and his teams offense play.

Those guys didn't play in the SEC, they didn't have one year within a program, and they didn't win a NC.

I don't understand why supposed fans of a team have this continual desire to crap on their team or shout out their team is going to fail or cant be successful. Bunch of pussies is all I can come up with.

This is the comment I was responding to:

quote:

I really don't know why y'all do this to yourselves every offseason around this time.

My point was...with the never seen before success at LSU since 2000, why is it so bad for LSU fans to eagerly await any season with expectations of success??? I mean, its not like we haven't had lots of football success and you were the one who posted, "every offseason".

quote:

y'all want to have a circle jerk over some article that says LSU has the chance to be preseason #1

Why shouldn't LSU fans enjoy a poll saying we might be #1? What exactly does that hurt?

quote:

who gives a flying frick about where we're ranked before mid-October/early-November?

I always care were we are ranked. Be it week 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 or 13. Doesn't everyone?

You do this in every thread. If you youth and inexperience doesnt matter then why is it so rare for nfl rookie qbs to have great seasons? Why is it so rare for 1st year and young starters to have great seasons?

The same ucla that went 8-5?
The same notre dame with 3 losses like lsu?
The same FSU that had 3 losses like lsu?

The young 1st year starters that have good seasons are the outliers. We have over 100 years of football that proves this. Do you really think your biased opinion means more than 100+ years of football?

Auburn has beaten us 1 time since 2010.

Agreed on Arky. No reason for us to lose to arky 2 straight years. Our talent dwarfs theirs.

Auburn, not expecting much out of them.
Last time we went there not expecting much we won 12-10 in one of our now annual uninspired wins over an outclassed opponents.

I think being #16th ranked is a nice improvement from not being ranked at all. I think 4th is the SEC is better than 8th. I think winning a bowl game is better than losing one. I think having an O ranked 39th in the nation is better than having an O ranked 80th in the nation. I think LSU trended up from 2014. I don't know why any LSU fan would belittle their teams efforts. We all want more, but there is no reason I can see for LSU fans not to be looking forward to a better year.

Come on Lonnie, you've been here long enough to know why.
If we have a great year under Miles it will throw a wrench into this bullshite notion that miles sucks.

Its amazing that you cant post something positive about the upcomong season without lsu posters shitting on it. I've never seen a fan base more willing to shite on its own program.
