I just don't see LSU beating Bama.

They should win every other game, though.

Nothing wrong with 11-1 with an outside shot at a playoff.

LSU football has a 160 wins since 2000 which ranks us at #2 in power 5 teams. We have also been to 3 CGs and had like 10 top 10 finishes in that time.

Exactly what are we doing to ourselves???

It's a shame that some cant enjoy the finest period of LSU football EVER, but each to our own.

Wait what? Only bama has more titles than LSU the last decade. TOSU just owned the draft and couldn't win their conference.

Me neither.

I see them ripping the eyes out of their heads and pissing in their dead skulls!

Are you really digging back into the previous decade to prove your point?

Who said I wasn't enjoying LSUFB? It's early May and y'all want to have a circle jerk over some article that says LSU has the chance to be preseason #1. In all honesty, who gives a flying frick about where we're ranked before mid-October/early-November?

Let's discuss SEC west record in the past four years or so.
Let's talk bowl games in the past four years or so.

Now go play.
I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this upcomming season and not lose my shite if we lose because I allowed myself to get set up with crazy expectations by off season articles.

dream season.

yeah, like 2011 huh. I will believe it when I see it. We haven't beaten Bama since 2011. If we can't beat them we won't win the West, compete for the SEC Ship and the Playoffs.

@UF

With what they lose, I don't agree.

Ole Miss

Kelly will be dangerous in spite of what they lose defensively. Could easily lose this one.

Mark it a L until further notice.

@Ark

Same as with UF.

I actually try to make an objective look at the team and the schedule before I get too excited. Last season I expected 10 wins. The season before, I said 9 wins.

I actually haven't been this excited about a team since 2013. While that team underperformed, they had the potential to win a championship.

In my opinion, looking objectively at this team, they have a solid shot to compete for a championship.

Some fans.. This is all apart being a fan, getting excited.. even over the hype.

There's nothing wrong with you being level-headed and skeptical.. but I have no issues with fans who are passionate and enthusiastic about hype.

Pressure: [on] off.

I don't know about pressure...it is pre-season, and these young men know that the expectations are very high this year. One game at a time. If they stay focused on the task at hand, this team has everything needed!

Edited... because I've re-read the LSU tid bit multiple times now, and I have a boner....

All this preseason hype is going to make for a long, hard fall back to the middle, like 2015.

pretty sure Arkansas should pose a problem, no matter who their qb is.

they've completely dominated LSU in recent memory.

Unless "recent memory" only goes back two years, no they haven't. It has been competitive with LSU having the slight edge over the last 5-10 years.

Also, the last two losses had a bit more to do with the team "giving up" after disappointing losses to Bama. That's what happens when your season's hopes rest on one game.

Let me explain something to you. What happens during the season doesn't have a fricking thing to do with your expectations or what any articles have to say.

We finished at #16 in the nation with a true Sophomore QB playing a full SEC schedule for the first time in his life. We didn't finish #40 with a Junior QB in the program four years.

Grow a pair as a fan or stay home.
