You might be familiar with who they have at # 1.

Pressure: [on] off.

1. LSU

You know how everyone was gushing over all the Ohio State players being taken throughout the 2015 NFL Draft? Next year it’s going to be LSU that keeps the pros stocked with fresh bodies, especially in the first round. The 2016 Tigers really are that good.

It might be hard to see considering how flaky they were last season, but this year they’re so deep, so talented, and so solid now that Les Miles survived his brush with coaching death that it should all come together in what should be a dream season.

"Looks like the top team headed into the summer." We'll see where we end up but it's nice to see we're being respected early on.

CFN is not only the greatest prognostication source of all time, it's also likely the best on line periodical ever posted. Of course next season will be special. To think otherwise is blasphemous.

I'm really trying not to get my hopes up too much, but this team looks like they can be really special.

They are great writers, but even better people. Salt-of-the-earth.

Clemson lost a lot of defense for a 2nd year in a row.. but with their offense (mainly QB), would be hard not to have them number 1.

Wow they ranked over 100 teams. That is impressive.

I would say Clemson, Ohio St, OU, then LSU with Alabama right there as well. Alabama lost a ton on D and will break in a new QB (I know they have overcome this lately, but that was with Seniors) but they are always a safe bet for a high ranking regardless. Not buying the Tenn hype until they get past their hurdles either.

I've been thinking about this as well.

With the guys we returned finally and the Juniors on this team.. It's really a heavily loaded squad. Hope to see it all play itself out.

Walterfootball has us with like 7 players in the 1st. Not that it's likely, but that's the type of talent we have..

I only care about where we finish at the end of the season. Simply put, the talent is there to make it happen.

Yeah, until we can prove we can win in November again.. no reason not to be somewhat skeptical.

If this very same poll at us at #22, our drama queens would be rushing in to say, "see, see...LSU football/Harris/Miles sucks!."

But since we #1, the poll is worthless.

We are definitely top 3-4. LSU has to prove something to warrant #1. This school, in my opinion, the last couple of years, since 1/9 has lost credibility in being posted at #1 in BS preseason polls.

I much as I hate to say it. Bama, Clemson and OSU are consistent winners and if you're putting a stake in preseason polls then you need to keep them up there.

LSU since 1/9, every season we have ended the season in a garbage bowl. We have not proven ourselves in the past to warrant a #1.

Sadly though, I don't think we will get a feel for this team until Ole Miss maybe Florida.

Wisconsin will be rebuilding with a new DC.
Jacksonville State.....
MS State may be good but Dak has been there keystone the past few years.
Auburn, not expecting much out of them.
Missouri, new coach, new QB... don't see anything here.
Florida, may be competitive but I've heard bad things from down there.
Southern Miss....

I actually saw another early poll (may have been SI) like this and they had us top 10, around 7 or 8 i think.. even though they clearly didn't want to put us there.

They said same things as always, can LSU get consistent qb play.. It continues to be the question.. but I am more skeptical of Miles in November. Have to get more creative or at least we have to finish strong.

I love love love this coaching staff put together though. As well as the talent. Have to remember that.

So Bama and who else? The only other loss I can see on this schedule is Ole Miss.

@UF,Ole Miss,UA & @Ark (Take your pick). I really don't know why y'all do this to yourselves every offseason around this time.

It's like the wife/gf who keeps going back to her husband/bf even though he beats the shite out of her every time.

They keep telling themselves that things are going to change, and it will be different this time.
