Media seems mad he made them all look stupid, considering everyone and their mom was saying Les was gone.

For the record I called for Alleva's firing before this Dennis Dodd fellow did.

But I think Alleva whacked my thread.

If his plan was to keep Les then he has nobody to blame but himself.

Like they mentioned earlier on the post-game, it is fine to have a policy but at some point a good leader will adjust and address.

I'm to the point where I would be surprised if he's not fired.

Spot on. Alleva has to go...today!

He drug Miles and the LSU brand through the mud the last two weeks, and the consequence is his termination.

If they wanted to play this game getting a new coach. They could have done it all behind closed doors and started the search now, once team's seasons are over except the meaningless bowl games. unless you're trying to get someone in the playoffs.

If LSU would have lost tonight, I think Les would have been fired.

So I don't think the plan was to keep Les either way.

It seems clear Alleva tried to replace Les but wasn't able to get the guy he wanted. Also seems like tonight's win influenced his decision. Pyrrhic victory.
