Can we now admit there should be an open QB battle under the new regime?

I and others(slackster) were hammered for even suggesting such a thought a few weeks ago.

Here are the numbers

Brandon Harris at LSU: 0 games started without Miles

54% 7.8 y/a 20tds 10ints 134 Rating

Danny Etling at LSU 3 games started without Miles

59% 7.1 y/a 7tds 4ints 127 Rating

There needs to be an open battle at every OLine position

Don't care who the qb is until that is fixed

I no doubt feel bebe is gonna open it up. Hell, he may even open it up this week given that performance. If Etling starts out slow against Arky....prepare to see BH.

As long as they offensive line continues to get thrown around like rag dolls, it won't really matter IMO. 6 one way, half dozen the other.

I just think Harris has 100000 times the potential than Etling. Etling, with proper footwork and great pocket presence etc etc, still is worse than Harris who is raw. Also, Harris has played much better competition in his time at LSU so far

I just dont see how people favor Etling

bullshite

Etling was holding the ball way too long and then when he had chances, he missed his receiver

that game was not all on the O-line

Sure. battle every spring. But Etling is much better than Harris. Rewatch the first 2 games.

If we hire a QB developer and offensive mind, I would expect Harris to turn it around. The question is does he stick around for it?

I agree for the most part. Just find it interesting that people are just now starting to like the blame the line and not the QB excuse. Harris was running for his life against Wisky worse than DE was Sat

Etling was bad, but the WR's are not very good at all. No separation.
