Pitching, it's all about the pitching. We are young which I believe 3/4 the way through the season we will know.

Scoring a run or two would help as well

Fraley has the tools but hasn't added the power he should have

So studs have to have great power hitting ability? Guess I need you to define it for me.

Duplantis is quick but he's gonna be a .315 hitter with no pop in college, which isn't stud material

Thats great that you are going to be able to project he is going to hit worse than he has.

I mentioned him earlier this year... he's been doing very well.

I coached him a couple of summers in HS. The thing is, he wanted the opportunity to play QB too. And while he was a good lefty, he's nothing like he was now. I give PM a pass on him.

Duplantis is going to be really good.
Both Jordans are going to be solid producers for two more years.
Wofford has a chance to be really good as he develops and gets stronger. I like his swing.

Fraley has lots of power. He's just not a fly ball hitter. Not necessarily a bad thing

Wofford has a sweet, sweet swing. You can tell he's only going to get better and stronger. Hope Roy can beef him up a little. He still has that baby face.

Differentiating "studs" from good college players. Fraley and Duplantis are good college players. They're not mahtook. They're not Bregman. My original point is that lsu's current lineup doesn't have that horse in it that it's had years past.

Maybe one of these young guys can become that. But as of now, it's not there.

I still like the recruiting and direction of the program. We are bringing in good players. If only PM had someone in his ear to let him know when would be a great time to change pitchers and who to go to. I'd be deficient at coaching most everything else in the college game, but I doubt I'd be worse at feeling out pitchers than him. I'd do it for free.

Duplantis is a stud. Period. He doesn't have power or a plus arm. But that will come.

I mean, I get people being frustrated but you could see this season coming two years ago.

Absolutely. But I feel like PM gets in the way at times.

Why not bunt Pap or Deichmann? Get runs by moving guys over. Being a little scrappy. Being smarter about the bullpen.

This team is young enough and will have to overcome a lot without having to overcome the coach making it tougher.

They were both surrounded by veteran lineups when they were true freshmen. Bregman even scuffled as a sophomore when he tried to carry the team too much.

Yep, I'm just hoping it means I can upgrade my seats next year after some of the sidewalk fans leave.

He's had a great start to this year and a solid career, but I'll still take Lange thank you very much.

Today?

IDK. If I had to win 1 game right now, I'd probably go with Kyle.

If you asked me which one would I rather recruit and have for 3 years, give me Alex.
