It's a fair question
When I go to A&M games, they have separate e-ticket portals at every gate. My buddy's season tix are all online and they even have the ability to e-give tix to other people in case he can't make the games

I did that at the LSU@A&M game. Bought online, and swiped my credit card at the gate--not will call, at the gate. It shot out a paper ticket. Really nice.

Seems like it, but I was reading an archived Spring Game article from 2003, and that was the first time we even used e-tickets. So this whole ticket marketplace/renewal system is a lot of progress in 10 years I guess.
