It's very stressful on the animal to bring him out and be surrounded by a lot of noises and people. I loved seeing mike on the field, but this decision is the right one not to bring him out.

No problem. Bring him out at the start of the 2nd half. Stadium is empty.

It’s because we have some very effeminate, SJW veterinary students / faculty. They believe it’s cruel to force him into his cage. Another sign of the downfall of this once fine university.

It was a condition of having his habitat garner preserve status.

One word PETA. Early on Mike did not want to get in the trailer. In earlier times apparently there was a device like a cattle prod to get him in the trailer. PETA made it an issue. So no more Mike in the stadium

It has nothing to do with PETA.

They say it's stressful, but the only Mike to never see TS had the shortest life.

I saw Memphis brings theirs to the games still. They have a glass cage.

Build an enclosed walkway from his habitat to the stadium. That way he can show if he feels like it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Memphis does bring 'their' caged Tiger into the field. But according to TN law, he is not able to live in TN, so he lives in MS and who knows under what conditions.

Memphis’ Tiger doesn’t live on campus so they don’t have to follow the sanctuary rules. I’m good with it. I miss the tradition but I’d rather have Mike on campus year round.

This is complete bullshite. The reason this Mike isn't going to games, is because he doesn't want to get in the cage. That's it. When a 500 pound killing machine doesn't want to do something, you don't push the issue. He never wanted to go in the cage and so after trying what they could, they decided to not push the issue anymore.

There is no SJW crap that made this decision. Mike made this decision.

In the future, don't talk about shite you are clueless about, it makes you look like a fool.

LSU officials capitulating to political/social "correctness". It would also frighten the opposing fans and cause many to seek refuge in safe spaces.

You people sure are gullible.

Memphis has no problem getting their tiger to the game.

And they have never even tried to load this “new Mike” into the trailer for games.

Some of you idiots just believe what you want to believe, even though you've been told that you are wrong time and time again.
What is the problem with letting the animal live peacefully? Does it really hurt your ability to enjoy a game that you can't force an animal to sit in a cage on the sidelines?

It's completely insane and wishing that on an animal makes you a terrible person.
