Lost last year 10-0. Can someone tell me what is THAT much different to add in the extra 11 points? I’m not seeing it. Bama home advantage? Not having fournette?

Different season man. We've had a shaky start and they've been steamrolling teams.

Experience and depth. Scouts have said this is the biggest gap in upper classmen talent that we've had in some time.

We have talent in the underclassmen, but they lack the experience. Bama is playoff experienced, and 3-4 deep at every position. They've also been beating SEC teams by 60. Can we play with them? Sure. Anything can happen. But the spread is probably spot on and relatively low from what it would have been just a few weeks ago.

Bets determine the spread, not intuition. It's 100% market driven. Vegas doesn't set spreads based on emotion but they sure as shite hope you bet on emotion.

We cannot throw a forward pass to a WR...see Ole Miss game as an example. He was also running for his life against Ole Miss line. 21 points is justified.

I don't believe Bama will win by 21. I expect to see a different offense to confuse the Alabama defense. There should be no excuses with 2 weeks to prepare. We've seen what Aranda can do when he has plenty of time to prepare. The team will come ready to play.

By how many points did MSU beat LSU?

What happened during homecoming?

I’m hoping the Tigers split Bama wide open, but the line isn’t based around last year.

Last two times we went to Tuscaloosa we lost by 21 and 14.

Offensive and defensive line match ups.

Bama win margin of 33 pts.

Troy

Not saying I agree or disagree but those are all logical explanations for -21

We aren't nearly as good as last season, for one.

Secondly, it's not an 11 point difference. Home field advantage is typically worth 2-4 points depending on how good the HFA is...so it's really more of a difference of 5 points or so.

Easy...

*We lost by 30 to MSU
*We lost to Troy at home
*Barely escaped terrible Florida
*Limited QB Play
*The game is in Tuscaloosa
*Yeah we beat Auburn, but we were down 20-0 early.

Odds are set so the gamblers betting will place half the total money on each team. Ideally each team will have the same amount of money wagered on it. When you see the original odds change it’s because too much money is coming in on one team. The bookmaker uses the money he gains from the losing team to pay off the gamblers on the winning team, keeping 10% for himself. So the odds are set not on any realistic appraisal of each team but on what the oddsmaker is perceiving the gamblers are thinking. The Miss St and Troy losses figure high in the brains of the gamblers. However, vast numbers of gamblers don’t follow LSU that carefully and don’t realize the current LSU level of play is diffferent than that appearing against Troy. Even a lot of LSU fans have trouble getting their minds around that fact.

Do you remember who we had on defense last year that is not on the team anymore?

Adams, White, Godchaux, Beckwith, Riley (all have started in the NFL this year), and then throw in a very good player like Thomas.

This D doesn't have nearly the talent to hold Bama to 10 points.

I don't understand the delusional optimism from people. Lick our wounds after this game and focus on trying to get to 9-3, which would be an amazing season considering where this thing started.

Minkah Fitzpatrick & Harrison will be all over those jet sweeps. We have to establish a threat over the top early for Bama to keep those safeties back.
