Can Anything Be Done About the Refs

to head off whats sure to be a biased crew in Tuscaloosa?
I know we've got 2 games to win before, but we need to start putting the word out now if we want the issue to gain enough momentum by Nov 5th that the refs will realize they are under a microscope.
No secret that Bama and Auburn benefit from hometown refs in the SEC's home state. Doesnt need to be out and out robbery of a TO (see Petersen 2 yrs ago). Just enough holding calls to bring back decent pass plays, blocks in back on good returns, and a blind eye to such calls when Bama has the ball.
Would it be possible for the tv media to mention it- ideally something on Gameday? Only way I see to make sure we get a fair shake.

You must have seen Cam Newtons long TD run vs LSU. block in the back vs LSU defender, clearly shows up as Cam gallops by.

Get over it. LSU will win the game based on the coaches, players and skill. We don't need to be crying refs before the game is played. Now really do we? We are the best team and we will prove it every time we suit up.

In all honesty, no way the Ref screw anyone In Tuscaloosa , not with the entire nation watching. YEs...Any state with an undefeated team by NOV 5th would be watching that game with a hawk like gaze. In fact the ones with One-loss would also. On nov 5th would determine who those teams would finally play.
So the ref will keep it clean, we were shitty in 2009 and we got screwed not a really interesting game. In 2008 we kept bama in the game. In 2007 when we were on our way to the NCG, they were unbais and Bama came out with a win. Last year when it look like LSU might be able to go to the NCG we beat Bama.

Undefeated LSU vs Undefeated Bama= LSU victory because the Red would not interfere in that match up. Unless it's blatant. Hope we get acid eyes. He was did us a good one last year and seems alot more fair.

i remember those calls....
But the best way to overcome bad calls is to make sure the game isn't close enough for them to make a difference.

yes but LSU had lost to Florida and BAMA was on the way up to the NC. Undefeated Bama and Undefeated Florida would generate more money for the SEC that year so, they got the nod to call the game against us.
Even though it was on T.V it was not that important. The one on Nov 5th would be, the entire nation eyes are upon that match up. People who are not a fan of either team would be watching it.
In 2009, Only those with a interest in Bama win or LSU really watched it. The rest of the nation waited for Florida vs Bama.

That may stop the blatant calls like PP7's, but still wont prevent the timely holding calls, etc. Rest of the nation would chalk it up to bad timing, or ref seeing something the cameras didnt. But those of us who have lived with this for years will know the actual story.
I agree we can overcome it with domination, but with both defenses so good, this game will come down to which O makes more big plays. See how many of our big plays are called back.

I worry anytime I see that dude reffing our games. He has burned us a lot over the years and is definetly a Bama fan. Maybe he called one play our way last year just to try to appear not so blatant.

True that. Watch how many of those types of calls go against us over the years vs Bama and rarely get called against Bama.

We are going to have to be dominate to win that game. Tough to beat both bama and the refs but with the superior talent and coaching I think we can do it.

Since 2000, LSU is 4-1 in Tuscaloosa. All time series when played in Tuscaloosa, LSU is 9-10. Hard to say that the results show ref bias on home turf.
