re: The sweet sixteen is back - Fred439 on 1/25/17 at 8:30 pm
I have a Sweet 16 (Belgium made) given to me in 1950 by my father that probably has had less than 10 boxes of shells shot in it. Needless to say it will be passed on to one of my Grand Sons. I feel very lucky but 16 Ga shells are getting more expensive and hard to get....

Ceremic Grills - Fred439 on 1/22/17 at 9:45 pm
OK today I gave my oldest son my large stainless steel Charbroil grill that I had modified to have a smoker box on the side. Actually my brother and I made it 20 years ago using original Charbroil castings. But I digress. LOL I am now looking to buy a ceramic grill and need your expertise an...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (6)

Dizzy Dean when he and his brother Paul were pitching for the Cardinals back in the late 40's early 50's once said, "Me and Paul are going to both pitch no hitters in tomorrows double header." A reporter challenged him that he was bragging which he answered, "It ain't bragging if you can do it." ...

Lest we forget he was coaching Miles' players, Miles' quarterback, using Miles' playbook, using Miles' offensive scheme, with a staff picked by Miles and kept it competitive until late 4th quarter. And he kept the stadium full until 3 minutes remained. ...

Sounds like it might be a candidate for a 48 hour Sous Vide cook at 130 or so degrees. I've never done this so if anyone has experience cooking wild game Sous Vide please feel free to comment. If there isn't any exterior fat on it you might want to rub it down good with bacon grease. I have cooke...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Has anyone bought the copper pot? - Fred439 on 8/9/16 at 11:05 am
I bought one of those a few months ago. I couldn't even get scrambled eggs off it even in the dishwasher. Had to scrub and scrub and then could remove them. When I complained they told me to pay to send it back and they'd send me a replacement. I told them I didn't want another piece of crap so ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Audiobooks on I tunes - Fred439 on 8/3/16 at 8:19 am
I listen to audiobooks using Itunes. Is there a way to fast forward or reverse to change places in the book. Some books are 15 + hours long and the slightest move of the status bar at the top sometimes moves the story by more than a chapter. This isn't really a problem with music as the status ba...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

I have had good luck with the Harmony 650. You can get it from Sam's for $39.00 or so. It is a bit tricky to program even with the USB cord hooked to your PC and going thru the Harmony web site but they have pretty good tech support to help you out. I have my Blue Ray, Ruko, Pioneer receiver and ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Bloodline Season 2 Episode 14 I think - Fred439 on 6/4/16 at 11:29 am
This is the episode with Kevin sitting in the motel hiding and being "baby sat" by Meg. There is a line from Meg that I have listened to several times and keep hearing the same thing. Am I imagining she said something to the effect of "Kevan, we used to f*** and will again." Did I miss what she a...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
