It would be a show of solidarity and respect, and would impress other prospective coaches to see Les physically hand the mantle to coach O on the field.

No, he'd get a standing ovation and the powers would think the fans wanted to keep him and screw everything up again.

The suggestion of Orangatang riding in on Mike the Tiger is a better idea.

Good God no....very bad idea. You can still love him, but it's time to cut ties and move on....the whole team would be messed up till halftime. Just no.

IF I get fired, I'm not going back in to work on a Saturday for a "victory lap" all because I deserve the respect of my employer

Nah.

I love Les and have supported him from day one, but when he had the opportunity to either do what Spurrier did and admit he was done and walk away at the end of 2015 he did not, and he clearly doubled down on the offense by retaining Cameron.

Sadly, this bed he is lying in this morning is one of his own doing. He was fired, which is a sad ending for one of the great runs. It didn't need to be this way.

I love Les, but frick no. Not only does it undermine Coach Orgeron, but Miles has way too much pride for such nonsense. He didn't retire, he was fricking fired. In September. The next time we should see him affiliated with LSU is either next year when they honor the '07 championship team(if he's still out of coaching) or when they induct him into the Hall.

That's like getting all of your ex girlfriends together with your current girl in bed one night.

Next year is the 10 year anniversary of the 2007 NC team. Seems like that would be a good time to bring him back for a nice ovation.

Let him come out for the homecoming game to the adulation of the crowd, then sit him in a suite.

I am perfectly okay with that. This is self inflicted on his part, but you can't blame the man. In retrospect I am sure he wishes that aTm or the bowl game was his last game. Let the guy have his moment so his legacy ends on a good note.
