How is it a jinx? Closers typically don't go 3 innings?

I swear y'all are retards.

ETA: he also doesn't lose that game if freeman doesn't get hit in the nads

I know it's early and all but this team is not that good. I'd be shocked if they make it out of a regional somewhere. Definitely one of the weaker teams we've had in recent years and I do realize it's early where things can change. Not seeing it right now though.

PM is his own worst enemy.

They are still a young team. They are going to be a team no one wants to play later in the year, but right now they are just not good.

It is what it is. They didn't deserve the pre-season hype they got.

They can develop as time goes on because you're right I'm just not seeing it in this team. We have similar problems as last year only it's a far less talented team that's younger.

I disagree. I think he looks good but I think stallings is the right guy.

Everytime he pulls a pitcher doing well, the rant melts down lol

I just don't understand his bullpen logic at all. Hunter Newman does great, gets pulled after one inning. Then he lets a freshman Gilbert go 2+ innings with no one even in the bullpen in the 9th of a 1 run game?

Well anything can happen but do you honestly think looking at this team right now they're going to be close to what we've seen the past few years? That was some damn good teams we had.

Relief continues to be a problem(same as last year) and I'm having doubts we're going to have the infield defense we need come SEC play. Starters should be solid and we're definitely going to see a huge drop off in hitting come SEC time with a young team. I still don't understand how they were rated so high after losing practically your entire hitting squad. PM is going to do what he's done here every year at LSU and just go full retard at times.

If this team hosts a regional and it stops there I'd be pretty happy.

Is it was started well after he went an inning. Do closers typically go longer?

Don't ask logical questions. PM is the coach and logic goes out the window. Because he just knows man. Something in his gut.

But FWIW I think we should have kept Newman in for another inning.

I'm sure he only got pulled to see some other arms this early in the year.

Only thing I'll defend on this is I think he's trying to see who he can trust on the mound this early in the season and see what he has. That's all I got. We all know how he handles his bullpen though and what I just said doesn't apply because he'll do it all season...

I'd like to believe what I said is true but based on what we've seen from PM it probably isn't because he'll stay consistent with it.

the kid looks like he's got great stuff. to anoint him the closer at this point is crazy, esp when you have stalling and bugg who actually have experience.

I'm not sure it was the plan for Lange to go 5, bbap. So why not let Newman close the gap if he's doing so well in a 1-run game?
