Jamal has swag. He has talent. He has work ethic. He has pretty much everything you want in a player. He's going to elevate the play of players around him. HUGE get from Texas for us once again. I think he can potentially be an All American this year.

Jamal will be one of the best safeties this year and that should build into a great JR season and high draft grade.
However,
this is almost crazy talk. What Mathieu did that year was something I have never seen from a defensive player at LSU. He was a Heisman finalist as a sophomore defensive back! I'm only 35 so I didn't get to see too many of the older guys, but Mathieu's short time here was nothing short of Legendary!

And? Sure we all know it because we closely watch LSU, but Feldman is a respected national name. What's wrong with a little good exposure, aren't we usually bitching about the opposite on here?

Not enough guys at defensive tackle. Before we lost Valentine and Lealaimatafao, I'd say we'd be OK if Godchaux or Lacouture got hurt. If we lose either of those guys, I think it's slim pickings putting together two groups of quality d-tackles. And remember, Bain lost weight to move out to end.

Sorry, just didn't think it was groundbreaking news. Kid was all over TV last year getting well deserved praise. Hes not some unknown, even non LSU fans have heard his name at some point...just seemed redundant.
But by all means hoss, run with it.

If he was "all over TV getting much deserved praise" it didn't translate to selections for 1st Team All SEC.
Any praise for an LSU player by the media helps with recruiting, which is why people are getting on your case.
