If you want to think a true freshman quarterback is going to take over the starting position from a senior who Coach O started most of their regular-season last year and had a good bowl game without that senior quarterback been given a chance to maintain his position in a real game situation, knock yourself out.

Pretty sure I said Etling would probably be the starter,barring injury but Brennan is not your typical LSU backup

I hope Brennan is great, but I have been hearing much the same bout non-starting QBs for yrs and yes. I have gotten to the point that if I don't see it in game action, I don't believe it.

"Outperforming" in passing drills is a lot different than leading the team in game situations

Brennan was outperforming everyone throwing the football, from the description used it wasn't even close. Now I agree that sounds a bit hyped. The truth is, everyone leaking has an agenda.
