No doubt they see time against Furman. Also a possibility they get in against Arky. We are a much better team than Ole Miss, but the way we play them every year, I have no doubt it'll be another thriller.

i know he's a rant favorite but the rant always thinks the guy on the bench is the guy. not saying you are but how do you really know jennings is better than rettig? weren't both very highly rated in high school? after all, they are both still maturing and we do have a true qb teacher now.

We know because Cam has said Jennings is the unofficial #2..

The only way Rettig will see the field over Jennings would be at least next season after an insane spring/summer/fall camp

Its not like our number 2 would come in and throw so this is a silly concern. All he would do is hand the ball off.

Jennings is a VERY close comparison to Tahj Boyd. They both have the ability to take off and gain yardage with their feet, but they are good QB's. Once the trust factor is there with the coaches and Jennings and he gets his chaces to go throw downfield, I think a lot of people will be surprised at how good this kid actually is.

I believe if something were to happen to Mett, Rettig would be the go to guy. Outside of that, he will redshirt. If they are going to let someone do mop up duty, I would guess it would be Rivers.

AJ is #2. Has already been in this year. He's 1 for 1 for 11 yds.

Rettig is RS

Need to let Jennings run the offense for a drive or two wide open at the end of games

Jennings should have came in the last 2 drives last night. All Mett did was hand off anyway.

Cam Cameron has broken in a redshirt freshman quarterback previously. All that kid did was throw for 385 yards and 3 TDs and rush for 82 yards and three more touchdowns in his first college game.

Miles has that pattern of leaving us with inexperienced QBs - look at JJ, he still needed playing time his Sr Year and the light bulb still never went on ...
Sorry - could not resist but Miles does have a pattern of not getting our backup QBs valuable experience which pays off in the future

When the next QB goes against the LSU D in bowl practice, spring & summer practices, he'll have all the confidence in the world entering the season.

Ok. I guess he should've kept Perrilloux.

FCS? FBS maybe. I'd hang around and learn from Cam so when he goes to combine, he will get a serious look because of being under CC's system.

No need to use a backup QB now. Miles/Cam want Mett to have a stellar season for his Heisman or first round pick hope.

Except the fact Mett had 0 passes those drives. He just handed it off. Why not put AJ in and run your offense?
