in fact, mett is right below jamarcus and probably neck and neck with rohan davey.

Flynn was better than all three of these. We know Zach and Russell can sling it, but they were just too predictable. Last season I knew every play before it happened. I remember watching Flynn and being totally surprised all game long, it was awesome!

You guessing whether you think it is a run or pass (hint: it's probably a run) is irrelevant.

It's very relevant from a defensive perspective. If the defense knows it's a run, they can focus on their assignments to stop the run and vice versa. The reason why many of our drives stalled the past 4 years or so is because we became one dimensional on 3rd down. So it's very relevant.

Well for starters, LSU won the 2007 natty in his only year as the starter. None of the other 3 you mentioned did that.

For starters, this is a point that idiots hang their hat on.

- 2006 LSU, two losses (at top 10 UF, at top 10 AU)
- 2007 LSU, two losses (at top 20 UK, vs unranked Ark)

Jamarcus had more passing yards, a higher completion percentage, more TDs, less INTs and higher YPC, QB rating, etc., but Flynn was better because LSU won the national title with the same amount of losses?

Flynn also had by far the better pro career than they did as well, though I realize this may not be in the parameter of best LSU QB lately, that can't be discounted.

What relevance does the NFL have to college? In three seasons, Stevan Ridley's best rushing season had TWICE as many yards as Kevin Faulk's best. Obviously, Ridley > Faulk at LSU, amirite? Devery Henderson has more career NFL receiving yards than Josh Reed, so he's clearly better, AMIRITE?

Had you bothered to notice, I only threw that in for good measure.

Flynn won a natty at LSU, the other's didn't. Boom!

Don't be such a dick.

Auburn is run heavy. People guess on them all the time. The gash people. Where is more important than what. You saying, I think its a run, so what. WVU thought we were running on third and close in 2011 and we torched them for a 40 yard TD.

You being able to guess between two choices one of which is more likely than the other (70/30) is not really an issue. QED.

I noticed you mentioned it at all, and it is fricking stupid to do so.

Look, here's to a new chapter in LSU's qb play. One that's not so obvious...

Are you predicting no championships while he is the QB as well?

Hope he gets as much money as JR and has a better Pro career.

You missed the fact JaMarcus beat out Flynn over and over for the starting job as well, but it boils down to how one defines a "Best" QB, and the ultimate deciding factor is this case is natty's. no?

Flynn deserves a ton of credit for sticking around and waiting his turn, something you simply don't see nowadays as well.

That was not true at all last year. Mett's 3rd down efficiency was terrific last year.

these kinds of predictions are just so absurd.

Harris hasn't played one single down of college football yet. How do we know anything about what he'll turn out to be?

Agreed, because we were awesome enough to impose our will even though the other team knew what we were doing...then there was that "November game". It's not enough if we lose!

They shite on your thread and turned it into a JR/Flynn debate.
Maybe you should change the title to "Another JR/Flynn debate see pages 4-344"

While it's quite clear you're just being a dick, how am I moron for arguing Flynn > JaMarcus?

Winners get the accolades, people like Jim Kelly get what for almost?

All depends on how one defines "the Best" obviously.

The 2013 offense is literally one of the best 3rd down conversion machines I have ever seen. I wouldn't be surprised if it was top-5 all time % wise.
